LEGO being kind enough to send a copy of the LEGO Star Wars keychain 5006363 Star Wars Han Solo Keychain to all the blogs and sites on the planet, we can therefore take a closer look at this promotional product, which is currently offered from € 100 of purchase in products from the LEGO Star Wars range.
For those who have not yet understood it, this key ring delivered in a small sober but elegant box is made of a non-magnetic metal and it is relatively heavy: 60 grams on the scale. There is also no indication on the back of the packaging of the exact composition of the material or alloy used.
The object takes the design of the piece available in half a dozen sets since 2010, the reference of which is 75243 Slave I - 20th Anniversary Edition marketed in 2019 to mark the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars range, but it is more compact than the part in question and it is not on the minifig scale. The side handles which allowed a minifig to "transport" Han Solo in its carbonite block disappear on this version in favor of a ring and a chain.
It should be noted that this is not a product manufactured directly by LEGO, this keychain is a licensed product made in China by the company RDP, a structure specializing in the design and manufacture of derivative products that works for many brands.
I would have preferred an exact reproduction of the plastic carbonite block delivered by LEGO in some sets instead of a key ring too collector's item to be used for its primary function, but for once a gift given to members of the VIP program is a little creative, we won't complain too much.
If you are interested in this derivative product, know that you must currently spend at least € 100 on products from the LEGO Star Wars range on the official online store to get it.
Note: The product shown here, supplied by LEGO, is as usual in play. Deadline fixed at November 10, 2020 next at 23pm.
Update : The winner was drawn and was notified by email, his nickname is indicated below. Without a response from him to my request for contact details within 5 days, a new winner will be drawn.
