LEGO Star Wars in 100 Scenes

As much to tell you immediately, the book "LEGO Star Wars in 100 Scenes" edited by DK is of an unprecedented nullity if one compares it with the rest of the usually rather interesting production of this editor.

I have just received my copy and after having leafed through the thing, I must face the facts: The publisher's pitch, which promises us 100 scenes reproduced on the basis of bricks, is false. The blanket that promises us "A lot of LEGO Bricks"is just as much.

This book is just an amalgamation of official visuals that are loosely cut out and loosely posed on blurry, pixelated background illustrations. Over the pages, the impression that the person who made the layout of the book was in a hurry to move on is confirmed and each double page devoted to a scene from the saga is embellished with facts and pseudo-statistics of little interest.

Perspective effects are lacking, some of the minifigs photographed are scratched or damaged and the rare "new" constructions have been assembled with second-hand bricks whose state of freshness leaves something to be desired.

As far as I'm concerned, the conclusion is clear: You can keep your money, this shoddy book will not give you any for your 18 €.
