Today we take a very quick tour of the content of the LEGO Marvel set 76311 Miles Morales vs. The Spot, a small box of 375 pieces currently available for pre-order on the official online store and which will be available from January 1, 2025 at the public price of €49,99.
For those who don't know the context of the set, it is the first derivative product of the animated film. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) and the proposed construction refers to the scene in which Miles Morales and The Spot confront each other in a Brooklyn store. If you have seen this movie, you will probably agree that LEGO stages this part of the film quite well with a minimalist but fairly faithful reproduction of the store and the important elements of the action seen on screen such as the ATM.
The manufacturer adds Miles Morales' father, Jefferson Morales, and his vehicle to the box, but leaves out the owner of the store who would have been right at home here, armed with a baseball bat, for example. The construction is quickly assembled, and it also makes intensive use of stickers with 16 stickers to place on the front and on the various interior elements. These stickers are graphically very successful, but the modeling phase remains, as usual, really boring. We still stick on average one sticker every five stages of construction in this box. The only real functionality of the place is embodied by the possibility of ejecting the ATM, which is meager. We will also note the presence of a flexible canvas that allows the bad guy on duty to be locked in.
The PDNY police vehicle (NYPD but a little "different" like the whole world in which Miles Morales evolves) is relatively simple but will appeal to younger people. It is at the level of what is usually found in the CITY range but with a little British twist that is very appreciable. Jefferson can be installed at the wheel even if the driver only has a steering wheel without a seat or any refinement of the interior. This spartan layout of the car, however, allows two figurines to be crammed inside if the need arises.
You probably understood it a long time ago, the two assemblies of parts provided here are in reality only a pretext to make this construction toy a luxury display for the minifigs delivered in this box. They are all new in this form and successful, including Gwen Stacy who benefits here from a different torso from the one already seen in other sets. Small disappointment that smells of savings, three of the four characters do not have patterned legs, you have to make do with neutral elements.
Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy both come with their respective faces and matching hair. This is nice, but you'll have to pay again to get two more torsos and line up these two uncovered-face "variants" of each character in a Ribba frame.
Jefferson's torso is also really successful with a level of detail rarely achieved on a police officer's torso, especially on the back. The villain's figurine may seem a little too "simple" but it is faithful to the version of the character seen on screen with his white body and his spots spread all over his body including his legs. LEGO did not go so far as to pad print the arms or the side of the character's legs, which is a bit of a shame. A hat like the one seen on screen would also have been welcome, just to have a "variant" here too.
The late but compelling arrival of the Spider-Verse at LEGO is great news for all fans who enjoyed the two animated films already available (Spider-Man: Next Generation et Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse) and who are impatiently awaiting the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. In any case, we're not going to complain about occasionally being treated to something other than yet another Iron Man suit or a twelfth version of Thor in a range that rarely leaves the already fairly exhausted Avengers universe.
Once again, we could discuss the high price of this little box, but I think that this debate is endless and that patience will be required to find it a little cheaper elsewhere than at LEGO. In any case, I prefer to spend €50 for four new characters that deserve to one day go down in history at LEGO than for other sets without taking risks or without real novelty.

Today we take a quick tour of the content of the LEGO Marvel set 76313 Marvel Logo & Minifigures, a box of 931 pieces currently available for pre-order on the official online store and which will be available from January 1, 2025 at the public price of €99,99.
As you already know if you follow, LEGO has long understood that it also needs to target customers who are fond of purely lifestyle outside of its usual clientele. All ranges are more or less entitled to products whose sole purpose is to end their career on the corner of a shelf and the LEGO Marvel universe is no exception to this trend.
The manufacturer is probably betting on the fact that those who do not buy the multiple playsets that invade the shelves will perhaps be tempted by this product which simply highlights the logo of the license, but based on bricks.
LEGO wouldn't be the toy manufacturer we know if the most basic products didn't include a few features, just to highlight the brand's concept and the know-how of its designers. Here, the red box flanked by its white letters includes a mechanism that reveals the different characters fixed on their respective supports.
Be careful, this synchronized mechanism does not retract by itself: the figurines are deployed by pushing the discreet buttons on the top of the construction, then pushed at the back to reveal Iron Man, but in the end you have to put everything away manually and put back in place the sections that are ejected during manipulation. Nothing serious, I think that beyond a few attempts to impress your friends, you will quickly choose to display the thing completely closed or in the "visible minifigs" version and that the object will then remain as is.
The construction is quickly assembled, even if it will be necessary to remain vigilant during the construction of the integrated mechanism and to regularly test the correct deployment of the supports so as not to have to come back to it later. The different colors used for the Technic beams present help to find your way around and not to make a mistake in the connection point. The installation of the letters on the front face is a fairly satisfactory process, they take shape gradually and the result seems to me simply perfect if we compare the LEGO version with the logo that we know. A few studs remain visible on the surface, the ratio with the smooth surfaces of the different letters is very correct.
LEGO provides five Avengers in this box, we will remember the absence of Hawkeye, and the minifigs are all new at least by the torso with globally very successful pad printing. Collectors of figurines who will not care about the associated construction will therefore still have something to fill their Ribba frames a little more with the endowment of this set.
The most observant will have noticed that Iron Man is wearing his armor here in the "intact" Mark VI version with the legs already seen in the LEGO Marvel set. 76269 Avengers Tower under the torso of the damaged version of the outfit. Captain America is clearly in the damaged version here. First avenger With a very nice torso and her usual shield, Black Widow reuses the legs already seen on the same character but also on Hawkeye or Falcon. Hulk goes to theOlive Green In this box, Thor benefits from a nice torso which is also new.
Regarding the public price of this box, and even if we all know here that we will end up finding it for much less elsewhere than at LEGO, I find the price excessive for a derivative product which does not necessarily reflect the €100 requested.
It's a bit like a Nike t-shirt sold for €60, you pay the high price to display a simple advertisement for the brand via its logo and I've always had a bit of trouble with the concept of a sandwich man who pays instead of being paid. I have a bit of the same feeling here even if I salute the creativity at work to create a visually rather convincing trompe-l'oeil, all accompanied by a slightly rustic functionality but which has the merit of adding a bit of spice to the assembly process of the thing.

- kemosabe These transparent stickers... how to ruin a set 😅...
- kemosabe Well, apart from a few nice figures, it's getting worse year after year...
- kemosabe There's no respect anymore 😆...
