In short, here are two videos made by Forrest Whaley aka forrestfire101 which cleverly take the idea of the LEGO The Hobbit video game and turn it into a very high-end brickfilm.
In view of the work provided and the result, we can say that dad's brickfilm is finished and that in a few years, some have achieved a technically close to perfection rendering.
