Spider-Man: Far From Home - First trailer and some info on planned LEGO sets

The first trailer of the film Spider-Man: Far From Home is now available, this is an opportunity to take stock of what we know about the three LEGO sets planned to accompany the release of this film.

Via the usual channels for disseminating rumors and very preliminary information on upcoming products, we currently have three references, names that seem provisional (or poorly translated) and theoretical US public prices: 76128 Molten Man's Battle ($ 30), 76129 Hydro-Man's Attack ($ 40) and 76130 Stark's Plane and Drone Attack ($ 70).

Marketing of the various sets planned for next May, the film is expected in theaters in early July 2019.

76113 Spider-Man Bike Rescue

Go ahead for a quick peek at the LEGO Marvel set 76113 Spider-Man Bike Rescue (235 pieces - 24.99 €) which proves us once again that LEGO is convinced that Spider-Man really needs various and varied vehicles to go on a mission and face some bad guys.

Here we are entitled to a motorbike which could be acceptable if it was not oversized. The bike is really successful but the minifigure frankly looks ridiculous on the seat with the added bonus of a driving position far from natural. But it is necessary that the youngest have something to have fun and this bike is there for that.

Note that the mini spider drone launcher is functional but the web launcher placed on the left side of the machine does not launch anything at all.

If you are wondering where the two little gray spiders delivered here come from, it is on the side of the Nexo Knights range that you should look, for example in the set 72002 Twinfactor.

The other construction of the set is the generator "with explosion function". The term is a bit pretentious, it is simply a question of tilting a part to eject the two containers placed on it. Everything else is only decorative, with large reinforcements of stickers except for the yellow plates with the black bands which are pad printed.

Some of these stickers are also printed on a transparent support and the effect obtained is very convincing. I would like to see this type of sticker more often.

76113 Spider-Man Bike Rescue

Everything that is to be built here is ultimately just a pretext to sell us three minifigs: Spider-Man, Miles Morales and Carnage.

The Spider-Man minifigure is a welcome evolution of the one we've already gotten since 2012 in over a dozen sets. The torso turns red with the blue areas now pad printed and the legs benefit from a two-color molding. It was time. Too bad, the blue pad printed on the chest is not exactly the same shade as the arms and legs.

Miles Morales is also an updated variant of the version seen in the set. 76036 Carnage's SHIELD Sky Attack marketed in 2015. Some modifications to the muscles of the torso, but not enough to get up at night if you already have the previous version. I would have put red hands on the character, he often wears gloves with red fingers in the various comics that feature him.

76113 Spider-Man Bike Rescue

Carnage has undergone a nice facelift and the monochrome pad printing now gives way to details in two rather successful colors. I am however less convinced by the tentacles of this new version and I prefer the shape of the eyes of the minifigure of the set 76036 Carnage's SHIELD Sky Attack marketed in 2015. Carnage here uses the back support already seen on the Outriders in the Avengers Infinity War sets.

A note about these minifigs: LEGO could have made the effort to offer us faces without masks for Peter Parker and Miles Morales, just to be entitled to an alternative presentation and to make these figures even more attractive to collectors.

76113 Spider-Man Bike Rescue

In short, nothing to discuss for hours on this box which quite simply offers three updated versions of characters already present at LEGO for several years. The big bike will amuse the youngest and the other construction will quickly end up loose in the bottom of a drawer.

24.99 € for a very small box, it's probably a bit expensive for collectors who already have the three characters delivered here, but it seems almost correct to me for a set which provides young fans with three major minifigs at once from the Spider-Man universe.

Note: The set shown here, supplied by LEGO, is included in the game. To participate in the raffle, simply post a comment on this article before January 17 at 23:59 p.m.. You have every right to disagree with me, this is not eliminatory.

76113 Spider-Man Bike Rescue

30451 Spider-Man's Mini Spider Crawler

Collector friends of everything related directly or indirectly to the LEGO Super Heroes universe, know that there will be at least one polybag to add to your collections at the start of the year.

This is the reference 30451 Spider-Man's Mini Spider Crawler whose instructions are already online at LEGO and which allows to assemble a mini version of the Spider Crawler delivered in the set 76114 Spider-Man's Spider Crawler.

The minifigure that will be delivered in this new bag is probably not new, you probably already have 13 copies in your collections if you have complete tendencies ...

It is not yet clear where, when and how this new polybag will be distributed.

76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom

Today we take a quick look at the LEGO Marvel set 76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom (604 pieces - 54.99 €).

First of all, I want to clarify that despite what is indicated in the description of the product, there is in my opinion only one mech in this box: that of Spider-Man. The Venom minifigure is just an evolution of the character who doesn't really need a robot to fight opponents.

The name of the set also indicates that this is simply a clash between Spider-Man's robot and Venom himself. But children who absolutely want to organize a robot fight can always place the Venom minifigure in the cockpit discreetly integrated behind the figure's head.

76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom

Spider-Gwen aka Ghost Spider comes with a rather successful flying surfboard that matches well with the dominant colors of the character's costume. It's consistent and this character has here a real element of playability with the added bonus of two Stud Shooters positioned at the front of the board. This accessory makes all the difference, instead of playing two with this set, we can play three. Ghost Spider isn't just a minifigure thrown in the box, he's a character who gets really into the action.

76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom

The Spider Mech looks a little pale against Venom, but it's also a way of making the latter more prominent. This exoskeleton that houses the Spider-Man minifigure is well designed even if it may seem a bit messy at first glance.

It is stable, it can take many poses and can even throw a few web traps thanks to the Stud Shooter integrated in the left arm. The assembly can be handled with both hands without any parts escaping in passing.

76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom

Venom is obviously the real star of the set. The figurine is impressive, although the arms seem a little gaunt while the musculature of the legs is visually very successful. As with the Spider-Man mech, stability and the possibility of taking many poses are there, especially thanks to the finish of the character's feet. Sometimes you have to carefully seek the balance point of the figurine, but with a little practice, you can get there without getting excited.

The handful of stickers to stick on the chest will quickly be forgotten, these stickers partially disappearing behind the character's scary, very successful jawbone. the hemisphere with the eyes, however, is pad printed. Too bad for the visible blue Technic pine in the palm of the figurine's hands.

76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom

In this box, LEGO provides four characters: Spider-Man, Ghost Spider, Aunt May and Venom.

Fans have been waiting for a long time for LEGO to finally deign to bring them a version of Spider-Gwen. It's now done, even if the result is a little minimalist. No pad printing on the arms or on the legs, a torso that is satisfied with two small colored inserts at the shoulders, I know some who will continue to prefer the version of Phoenix Custom with reflections on the hood and pad-printed arms ...

76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom

For the rest, it's pretty decent with a nice pattern on Spider-Man's torso, a metallic eye shade, and a pair of legs molded in two colors.

The new version of Aunt May is quite acceptable with two facial expressions and the minifigure of Venom finally shows the character's tongue between the two rows of teeth. Nothing revolutionary here, but these four minifigs are welcome in our collections.

In summary, I say yes because the minifig assortment is consistent and the Venom figure / mech is really very convincing.

Note: The set shown here is put into play as usual. To participate in the raffle, simply post a comment on this article before January 13 at 23:59 p.m.. You have every right to disagree with me, this is not eliminatory.

76127 Captain Marvel and The Skrull Attack

Imminent availability for the set 76127 Captain Marvel and The Skrull Attack whose official visuals are now live on the manufacturer's server.

In the box, 307 pieces and 3 minifigs (Talos, Nick Fury and Captain Marvel) accompanied by Goose, Carol Danvers' cat.

Barring a last-minute surprise or exclusive set not yet unveiled, this box will likely be the only LEGO derivative based on the film expected in theaters in March 2019.
