This year, it's laborious when it comes to the new series of collectible minifigs.
Leaks are rare and while the members of the LEGO Community Team have confirmed having received the first boxes of the series 9, we are still at 3 visuals only of which this Chicken Suit Guy which appeared today on Brickset, various forums and on flickr. (The other two known minifigs: Alien trooper - Dr Splitz)
If the plastic minifigure conforms to this drawing published in the last LEGO Club Magazine Friends Edition British, so she shouldn't have arms. These would be replaced by wing-shaped limbs. Let's just hope that these wings will be equipped with a clip allowing to fix a weapon or any tool ...
Out of nowhere, here's what appears to be the Alien Trooper Series 9 collectible minifig that makes an appearance in a video on YouTube.
I took it upon myself to remove the dusty plates of the amateur videographer from the image to isolate the minifigure which is equipped with the same armor and helmet as the Space Trooper of the 7 series.
I personally am not a fan of the screen printing or the face of this minifigure, but I already know that some of you will love it ....
It seems that the list of the series 9 minifigs released a few days ago by The Daily Brick is confirmed: The visual above appears on one of the pages of the Polish LEGO Club Magazine (published by Noriart on his flickr gallery) and we can think that it is the minifig of Dr. Splitz present in this list ...
As a reminder, here is the list of minifigs announced by the site in question:
Alien trooper Chicken Suit Guy Maid marion Heroic knight cyclops Mermaid |
Fortune Teller Dr. Splitz Roller Derby Girl Judge Battle Mech |
Caesar Downtown Cop Plumber Waiter Hollywood starlet |
This is another list as it often circulates before the actual announcement of the content of the new series of collectible minifigs and it comes to us from The Daily Brick.
We already know that the 9 series scheduled for January 2013 will be packaged in silver colored bags and will carry the reference 71000.
Here is the list that the site in question says it has "uncovered"(discovered) without specifying where or how. It is therefore advisable to remain cautious:
Alien trooper Chicken Suit Guy Maid marion Heroic knight cyclops Mermaid |
Fortune Teller Dr. Splitz Roller Derby Girl Judge Battle Mech |
Caesar Downtown Cop Plumber Waiter Hollywood starlet |
For anyone who wants a Series 8 minifig review without unnecessary frills, infuriating comments or overplayed exclamations of admiration at each prop, here is the Artifex video review.
As usual, each minifigure is presented from all angles and you will have plenty of time to see, review and re-watch the ones you like the most before going to be noticed feeling the bag like a psychopath at Toys R Us from the corner.
If you've ever been kicked out of your favorite store and the cashier threatened to call the police because you've been kneading the red bags for a good two hours with a vague look and an ominous smile at every find , you still have the option of purchasing a box of 60 minifigs, keeping the 16 constituting the complete series and reselling the rest on eBay.
It will cost you just over 119 € at amazon.de for a complete box.
