LEGO Batman The Movie: Super Heroes Unity

If you have not yet ordered the DVD edition of the LEGO Batman DC Super Heroes Unite film, you can still rejoice because France 3 will be showing this film on Sunday June 16 at 10:00 a.m. as part of the LUDO children's program.

I remind for all intents and purposes that this film is in fact an assembly of the cinematic sequences of the LEGO Batman 2 video game, but all those who have not tried this game will discover a new adventure featuring many super heroes from the DC license. Universe.

Note that you can try to win a copy of the DVD of the film by participating in the competition organized on my-ludo.fr.

You can play until July 3 and 10 copies of the DVD are up for grabs. There is no indication that this is the version that came with the Clark Kent collector's minifigure, don't expect to receive it if you win.

You can access the competition registration form at this address.

LEGO Lord of the Rings - The Black Gate

He just talked about it in the comments but it deserves a mention here: Khalim offers an improved version of the Black Gate (Black gate) designed only with parts from two copies of the set 79007 Battle at the Black Gate.

It's a great job, the final rendering is excellent and the gentleman is not selfish since he even offers you to download the LDD file (to be used under Lego digital designer) of this MOC / MOD.

It is true that you have to afford two copies of the 79007 set to achieve this result, but the game is well worth the effort. No more frustration of having half a door, here is the version with two leaves and with two watchtowers!

It's more expensive, but it's prettier.

Further views of Khalim's work on his flickr gallery. The LDD file is to download at this address.

The Wolverine (2013)

The trailer of the day is that of The Wolverine with a Hugh Jackman overflowing with testosterone, ninjas everywhere, mutants, the Silver Samurai, Viper aka Madame Hydra and action galore. Released July 24, 2013.

LEGO's (Desperate) Request of the Day: Just a movie-inspired box with a few minifigs including Wolverine in white marcel, a Silver Samurai and Viper. If LEGO wants to add a motorcycle, a car, a bicycle or a hang-glider just to fill the box, no problem, I'll take it too.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 11 - Gingerbread Man

After Evil Robot, Female scientist, Yeti, lady robot and Welder (Welder), here is a sixth minifig of the 11 series whose official release is scheduled for the month of September: The gingerbread man or Gingerbread man in English.

This visual, which is in fact a drawing, was published in the last issue of the British LEGO Club Magazine and still gives an idea of the final minifigure.

Personally, I will ignore it, I do not see at all what to do with such a minifigure and I am not an unconditional fan of the universe of Shrek ...

So we have 10 minifigs from this 11 series to discover: A jazz man, an elf, a policeman, a Bavarian woman, a waitress, a scarecrow, a barbarian, a mountaineer, a grandmother and a tiki warrior.

lego super heroes angry faces

After mosques on Tatooine, the Friends range accused of reductive sexism by some feminist activist groups, here is a study that tries to show that the aggressive faces of certain minifigs can influence the development of our children.

LEGO is no exception in the field of recurring attacks: Apple, Sony, TF1, Microsoft and other large groups with a virtual monopoly in their respective markets are regularly the subject of more or less serious attacks.

This time, it is researchers from New Zealand who are trying to prove that the proliferation of faces with facial expressions oriented towards anger and aggression influence the way children play.

And LEGO is obviously in direct line of sight with these recent productions in which abound the superheroes frowning, the threatening pirates, the frightened bandits or the bloodthirsty skeletons.

The researchers in question argue that children playing with these nervous or frightened minifigs suffer a significant intellectual and emotional impact and that this can directly influence their development.

These same researchers also find that LEGO themes are increasingly centered on the conflict between good and evil, but that the characters who are supposed to belong to the "good" faction of this conflict are also often decked out with faces which do not necessarily reflect their positivity.

This is not a first in the world of toys: For example, several studies have shown the negative impact of anorexic Barbie dolls on the perception of their own body by growing girls.

In short, you will understand, this is once again a study that we will not talk about much on the sites of fans of LEGO, where it will certainly, perhaps a little quickly, considered as wacky and unnecessary.

On the parents' side, the thing will no doubt be taken a little more seriously. There are many who refuse to let their children play with plastic replica guns or games featuring armed conflict, and these same parents will be able to form their own opinion on the evolution of minifig faces over the years. time towards ever more realistic and varied expressions.
