The first real photos of the contents of the set LEGO Star Wars 75003 A-Wing are available thanks to a member of Eurobricks, BrickieB, who was able to obtain this box and propose a mini-review in pictures.
As far as I'm concerned, although the whole is coherent and the ship is of good quality, this set is only valid by the presence of the minifig of the A-Wing pilot which will advantageously replace the more simplistic and moderately faithful interpretations released. in 2000 (7134 A-Wing Fighter) 2006 (6207 A-Wing Fighter) and 2009 (7754 Home One Calamari Star Cruiser) of this character.
The outfit is really detailed with a silkscreen that reproduces in great detail the straps and clothing of the valiant pilot and a panel of colors consistent with the film version of the Battle of Endor. The helmet is also a nice interpretation of the model from the film with its side cutouts to improve visibility.
Han Solo with a new torso with a few additional pockets and identical Ackbar to set version 7754 are there, and that's good.
Small precision, the set is stuffed with stickers.
I warn you, I don't want to hear anyone complain in a few weeks about the difficulty in obtaining certain sets removed from the LEGO offer and whose prices will obviously skyrocket on the secondary market.
LEGO has updated its page "Retiring Soon"(Soon to be retired, if you prefer) dedicated to the sets which will soon be withdrawn from its catalog and we find there in particular the UCS 10212 Imperial Shuttle set.
If you had decided to wait a bit longer to offer it to yourself at a discounted price, it is almost already too late ...
All the speculators who follow the manufacturer's announcements very closely will be able to raise their prices on this set which remains undoubtedly one of the finest achievements of the Ultimate Collector Series range.
Below you will find the list of the sets announced as soon to be withdrawn from the LEGO catalog with the prices (updated in real time) currently charged on the various Amazon sites.

It's on the forum of the Swedish site swebrick.se that a user who had access to the second half of 2013 retailer catalog posted some information about the sets from the second wave of LEGO Star Wars in 2013 (see here on Hoth Bricks) as well as the LEGO Lord of the Rings range scheduled for next year.
As for the new Lord of the Rings, he indicates that one of the sets would be based on the sequence "Battle of the Black Gate"from the Return of the King.
The set would contain Gandalf the White minifigs, a Witch-king of Angmar as well as 3 other unidentified minifigs.
The second set would be a boat, probably that of the Ghost Army delivered with 10 or 12 minifigs, some of which would be "immortals", probably the ghost pirates.
We will probably find Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli, all three protagonists of the landing scene seen in the Return of the King.
This information partly overlaps with what we had so far with 4 sets announced for 2013:
LEGO 79005 The Wizard Battle
LEGO 79006 The Council of Elrond
LEGO 79007 Battle at the Black Gate
LEGO 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush
I remind you that all these rumors have to be taken with great care.
It's certain the facebook page dedicated to the film that some of the cast of The Hobbit trilogy were presented in the company of their respective minifigs.
And everyone seems rather satisfied with the plastic version of his character, even if we can have some doubts about Ori whose minfig is far from being similar.
I added the visuals of the minifigs in a more readable format on each photo.
Click on the photos to view them in large format.
I have received numerous emails asking me what are these four digit codes printed on the inside of the windows of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar for.
Here is the explanation:
Each day, you will therefore find a different four-digit code on the inside flap of the box you have just opened. There is nothing to gain, I reassure you right away.
With this code, go at this address and click on the number corresponding to the box you just opened.
Enter the code of the day and you will be entitled to a virtual animation of the contents of the box.
That's all.
