I rarely relay the competitions organized here and there, but this one is interesting on two points: The theme and the endowment.
The theme is simple: You have to propose a MOC representing the place in which an astromech droid can work, evolve, live, beep, etc ... such as a workshop, a ship, a kitchen, etc ... No size limit, only LEGO, no old recycled MOC, custom decals and minifigs are allowed.
The endowment is excellent, judge rather: the big winner will win a copy of the 10225 UCS R2-D2 set, the second a copy of the exclusive Chrome Silver TC-14 minifigure, the following (3rd and 4th) a Darth Vader keychain. Each winner (including the 5th) will also be offered a set of 13 astromech droids from the LEGO Star Wars range.
The contest runs from June 6 to August 6, 2012 at midnight.
Everything happens on the dedicated topic at Eurobricks.
I'm not the one saying it, but Variety which advertises on its site that Warner Bros. has signed a contract with various brands including LEGO to distribute products derived from the upcoming Superman: Man of Steel.
We can therefore legitimately expect a few sets recreating situations from Zack Snyder's next blockbuster, which is scheduled for release in summer 2013.
The commercial agreement between LEGO and DC (Warner) / Marvel (Disney) spanning several years, it's a safe bet that each new film based on one of these licenses will be declined in the form of a LEGO set, at least. as long as sales follow. I don't have too many concerns about this, the American market being fond of these superhero films, evidenced by the incredible success of The Avengers.
Let's face it, LEGO's decisions will not be influenced by sales in Europe, at least as far as this range is concerned. As long as Americans consume all kinds of superheroes, LEGO will sell them plastic.
Nice initiative on the part of LEGO for Father's Day with a simple little contest offering the possibility of winning a personalized ship that you have had the idea.
Craft a ship before June 17 with the items offered on the site of the operation, get all your friends to vote for you, and if you get the most votes before June 24, you win the ship in question delivered in a personalized box.
Regulars of LEGO games will not be disoriented, these first images of the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game confirm that we will find the same principles, actions, interactions, missions, objectives, etc ... already seen in previous video games produced around licenses marketed by LEGO.
So take advantage of these few images of the game offered by IGN while waiting for its release on all platforms on the market.
I take advantage of a moment of calm during my stay in Taiwan to draw the winners of the three bags: 1 x 30160 Batman on Jetski et 2 x 30165 Hawkeye.
Their names are added on the image above, on the visual of the set for which they were selected. They will be contacted directly by email.
Time to get back from Taiwan at the end of the week, and I will offer you something else to win, just to give as many readers as possible a chance to win something.
