LEGO 75159 UCS Death Star

Finally a visual of the LEGO 75159 UCS Death Star set that can be released without fear of the wrath of LEGO and / or Disney: The photo above was taken in an American LEGO Store and the set was obviously presented in the public area of the store.

For all those who have not followed the news of this new box of the LEGO Star Wars range, I remind you that this set of 4016 pieces will replace on the shelves the reference 10188 Death Star (3803 pieces) released in 2008 and marketed until 2015. This is obviously a remake with some cosmetic changes, especially in terms of the minifigs provided.

Marketing scheduled for September 30, 2016 with early sales for members of the VIP program starting September 15. The public price for France is not yet known.

LEGO Seasonal 40204 Pilgrim

L'autre Seasonal set planned this year to celebrate Thanksgiving is revealed with this first visual from the instruction booklet for set 40203 Vampire & Bat: It is therefore not just any witch, but rather a Pilgrim [Pilgrim] in his traditional dress.

These Pilgrims who landed in New England in 1620 are, according to some historians, at the origin of the first Thanksgiving meal, a meal organized by the community of Pilgrims to celebrate the good harvests and thank the Wampanoags Indians who had shared their knowledge in matter of culture with the English colonists.

The figurine is however in the same spirit as the vampire of set 40203 whose official visuals are available.

5004390 Nexo Knights Royal Guard

Remember: Last July, LEGO offered the exclusive mini set 5004390 Nexo Knights Royal Guard for any purchase of a product from the LEGO Nexo Knights range. The offer was scheduled for ten days and the mini set in question was very quickly sold out.

We now know where the stocks of this exclusive minifig went: They are in Switzerland, and in particular on the shelves of a Manor store in Lausanne, where this (very) small box which simply contains a minifig, is sold. for the modest sum of 5.90 CHF (i.e. around 5.50 €) ... There is definitely no small profit.

LEGO Star Wars Build Your Own Adventure

The LEGO phenomenon is currently abundantly exploited by many publishers who flood the shelves with more or less successful books and I must admit that I am becoming more and more selective about my purchases of LEGO books: I often think twice before spend several tens of euros in books that eat into my budget devoted to bricks and are too often simple compilations of content already available on the internet.

The latest to join my library of LEGO books, proposed by the very prolific publisher Dorling Kindersley (DK for close friends), has a few arguments to make: LEGO Star Wars Build Your Own Adventure is a book accompanied by 73 parts which allow to assemble a very successful Microfighter. We take advantage of 80 pages of good ideas with the common thread of the adventures of Zin Evalon, the young rebel pilot provided, at the controls of his Y-Wing microphone.

LEGO Star Wars Build Your Own Adventure

The box has been well thought out: The pieces are delivered in a classic LEGO bag (Reference 11912) itself stored in a cardboard insert, one side of which details the content and the back of which is a landing strip for the Y -Wing included. Assembly instructions for the included new Microfighter are provided on the first pages of the book.

It's plush, the book is fun to leaf through, the mini-models presented are very successful and can for the most part be reproduced without difficulty thanks to the exploded views. Each model has been validated by LEGO so that the techniques used and the level of difficulty are adapted to the young audience targeted by the book. Everything deserves in my opinion that we spend the 24 € requested for the English version.

The outer box, very thick and which brings together the book and the cardboard insert, may at first glance seem a little too ambitious for what it contains, but it will certainly help to enhance the whole when it comes to making a gift.

If you intend to offer this box to a young fan not necessarily English speaking, know that the publisher Huginn et Munnin offers the French version of this box pre-order at a price of 26.95 € with availability announced for October 14th.
