It is via the Australian version from the official LEGO online store that today we discover the LEGO Ideas promotional set 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei which will soon be offered subject to purchase.

Remember, it is in June 2022 that the creation entitled Tribute to Galileo Galilei submitted by Firecracker_ as part of a competition organized on the LEGO Ideas platform won the right to one day end up as a promotional product at LEGO (see visual below).

No news for more than a year, but the version reworked by LEGO of the initial idea is now ready to be offered in the form of a pretty box of 307 pieces which features the famous mathematician, surveyor, physicist and astronomer in his office, all presented on a base.

Tributes to different personalities are regularly in the spotlight at LEGO and this little creation will therefore join similar references this year 40579 Eiffel’s Apartment (2022)  40530 Jane Goodall Tribute (2022) 40450 Amelia Earhart Tribute (2021) or 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute (2020) already offered in the past.

It is the US Target brand which allows us today to discover the contents of the LEGO ICONS set 10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter, a box of 1369 pieces which will be available according to the brand at the beginning of February 2024 at the public price of $149.99 excluding tax, which should translate into a public price around €164.99 with us.

The 57 cm long, 79 cm wide and 23 cm high ornithopter model is accompanied by a handful of minifigs: Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Chani, Leto Atreides, Liet Kynes, Duncan Idaho and Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. The craft is equipped with an accessible cockpit, retractable landing gear and movable wings.

Update : the set is now up for pre-order on the official LEGO store at the public price of €164.99 and for a little less at Amazon with availability announced for February 1, 2024:

Forward to two new promotional offers active on the online store and in the LEGO Stores until October 31 with two small boxes offered subject to purchase. As usual, it's up to you to see if the game is worth it, for my part I'm going to make the effort to obtain a copy of Steamboat Willie which I find rather successful.

However, I have no regrets about skipping the fourth part of the mini collection of promotional LEGO sets entitled Houses of the World, the theme does not justify in my eyes spending the minimum amount requested by paying for a few sets at their usual public price.

We continue today with the release of a copy of the LEGO set 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman's Death Egg Robot, one of five boxes in the Sonic The Hedgehog range marketed since August 1st.
