NYCC 2013: The Star Wars Rebels Panel

Some information about the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animated series with these new visuals unveiled during the panel that just ended at New York Comic Con 2013.

Fans of the Kenner range of toys will immediately recognize the "Imperial Troop Transport"Or"Imperial cruiser"above sold in the 80s and which was incorporated into the series.

This toy was then the first Star Wars vehicle offered by Kenner that was not from the Star Wars saga. It was a creation of the manufacturer.

It seems that Kenner is in the spotlight in this series with many references to Star Wars toys produced by this manufacturer.

During this panel, we were also able to discover the "Bad Guy" of the saga: The Inquisitor. The guy, a villain of the worst kind armed with a very special lightsaber (Very close to the Grievous Spinning Lightsaber proposed by Hasbro), is tasked by Darth Vader to hunt down the last surviving Jedi of Order 66, a whole program ...

Another new vehicle was also unveiled: The AT-DP, distant cousin of the AT-PT.

The action of the series will take place 14 years after thePart III and 5 years beforeEpisode IV, mainly on and around the planet Lothal (Some pictures in this article), located on the edge of the Outer border. A few characters from The Clone Wars series are expected to make an appearance in this new series.

Another vessel unveiled, theImperial Freighter below, very inspired by Gozanti Cruiser seen in Episode I.

The series will begin in the fall of 2014 with a special one-hour episode. The following episodes will be on a 30 minute format. LEGO will inevitably be on the spot ...
