Here is a brief overview of the editorial and pictorial content of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars book from the very prolific British publisher Dorling Kindersley (DK): The Yoda Chronicles.
The book comes with an exclusive minifigure that we have already discussed here (See this article) : A Special Forces Commander which we do not know much about at the moment. We will have to wait for the TV broadcast of the three-episode mini-series on May 29 on Cartoon Network (USA) to find out more.
The content of the book obviously revolves around Yoda, his friends, his enemies, his powers, with some anecdotes distilled over the pages and the whole is richly illustrated with LEGO products.
This is not a top-notch encyclopedia, but rather an entertaining book to flip through from time to time.
We do not ask for more for the announced price: 14.72 € in pre-order at amazon with a release date set for July 15, 2013.

ReBrick, the official LEGO (non-hosted) content sharing site is organizing a competition open to everyone on condition of being over 16 and registered on this community platform.
To be won: The ultra-exclusive LEGO set® Inside Tour Set 2012 (4000012), available only to visitors to the manufacturer's premises. The object of the competition is simple: Build a MOC on a surface of 32x32 studs maximum, featuring an octopus (octopus) or a squid (squid). The winner will be the one whose MOC has obtained the most Likes.
To participate, it's very simple, build your scene, upload the image to your flickr account for example (ReBrick does not host anything), then post your creation in the dedicated category on Rebrick entitled Building Challenge. Spam your friends, and come and give us the link here that we can help you climb the rankings.
The contest starts today June 18 and will end on July 9, 2012. The voting sequence also begins on this day and you can add your Like until July 16, 2012. The first three will win something. As usual, no LDD MOCs, no custom parts, no LEGO logo, no Photoshop.
All the information on this competition can be found on the ReBrick blog at this address: ReBrick Building Competition.
