I have already presented to you on this blog some MOCs reproducing the Pillars of the Kings seen in the first installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy (See these articles), but they are still of an impressive size, as are the two statues on the border of Gondor.

Here is one, proposed by PuCCi0 (See his flickr gallery) which reproduces these two statues, but on a surface of 16x16 studs.

And for a thumbnail of this size, I would say the result is very convincing. We find the majesty of the two statues and the level of detail is sufficient to recognize at first glance what it is.

It is well seen, and it can also serve as a book press, the MOC separating into two pieces.

It is in any case the first to send me by email a photo of Tony Stark's lab that LEGO offers us to assemble using an instruction file in pdf format which I told you about a few days ago (See this article). Some parts are not the color recommended by LEGO, but that's fine.

I took the liberty of cutting out the image received by email to isolate the lab and improve the visibility of the whole.

You can download the instruction file provided by LEGO at this address: Build Iron Man's Laboratory (PDF - 30MB)

Edit: GIB has just sent me the XML file allowing the import of the list of parts necessary for assembly on Bricklink. You can download it here : tony-stark-lab.xml.

(Thanks to Tibo for the photo and to GIB for the XML file)

Gone are the flashy tight-fitting costumes, kitsch hairstyles and handsome poses throughout scenes with needy special effects.

Man of Steel may well renew the slightly too smooth and outdated image of Superman, the poor child of superhero cinema, in the eyes of fans, including those like me who have watched the opus a thousand times. previous ones without really finding their account.

This new trailer reveals a universe where chaos reigns, where the bad guys look really bad and where Superman will have to get his cape and tights dirty to restore order ...

I would almost find all three LEGO sets (76002, 76003 and 76009) "inspired" by the movie and recently released too slick to really reflect the oppressive vibe that emanates from this truly awesome trailer. Fortunately, there are the great minifigs left.

The time to struggle with the new flickr interface and try to understand how it works, here I am again with the latest Bounty Hunter to date offered by Omar Ovalle: Greedo, whose career as a bounty hunter ends miserably at a table of the Cantina of Mos Eisley.

Greedo will only be remembered for the controversy around the change introduced by Georges Lucas in the famous Cantina scene according to the reissues of the saga.

Before 1997, Han Solo shoots and kills Greedo. Point.
After 1997, Greedo shot first, but he showed surprising clumsiness at this distance. Solo risposte, Greedo passes away.
In 2004, the two shots were almost simultaneous and Greedo still passed.

Coming back to Omar Ovalle's work, this creation is not my favorite in his series of Bounty Hunters busts (See the dedicated album on flickr), but I'm not sure if reproducing Greedo deserves better than that.

The Bounty Hunter is here accompanied by his DT-12 Heavy Blaster Pistol, a weapon that does not seem very effective at close range ...

As usual, you can support the Cuusoo project bringing together these Bounty Hunters initiated by Omar Ovalle.
