It's official, Disney has just announced a new animated series called Star Wars Rebels, already in production, and whose one-hour pilot will be broadcast in fall 2014 on Disney Channel (USA).
The following episodes of the series will air on the Disney XD channel.
At the controls of this new animated series produced by Lucasfilm Animation, we find Dave Filoni (The Clone Wars), Greg Weisman (The Spectacular Spider-Man, Young Justice) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class, Sherlock Holmes).
The action in the Star Wars Rebels series will take place between theEpisode III Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV A New Hope, or about two decades.
The pitch is simplistic but we don't ask for more at this stage. The animated series will explore the adventures of characters about whom little is known at the moment "... in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape ..."
An official presentation of the series accompanied by the broadcast of the first extracts will take place during Celebration Europe II which will take place from July 26 to 28, 2013 in Essen, Germany.
I'll be there, just to see if LEGO does not also reserve us some exclusivity for the occasion ...
New brickfilm by Kevin Ulrich and the gang Brotherhood Workshop with Voldemort who does his shopping but who falls on .... I let you discover the end of this excellent stop-motion video.
The MOC of the day is without any possible dispute that of becauseBATMAN which unveils the new version of its incredible Hall of Armor.
The set is not only impressive by its presentation but it is also populated with many custom minifigs representing a host of armor carefully reproduced by MOCeur.
The photos of this MOC are visible in the dedicated topic on the Eurobricks forum, but I took the liberty of offering you a small gallery here to simplify your discovery of this meticulous work accomplished by this enthusiast.
While the official set 75025 Jedi Defender-Class Cruiser should soon arrive on the shelves of our favorite stores (It will undoubtedly be a LEGO Shop / Toys R Us exclusive), khatmorg presents its version whose design was initiated before the appearance of the first images of the LEGO set.
The MOCeur also indicates that it stopped working on its MOC when we learned that LEGO was preparing a set based on this ship from the universe of the Star Wars: The Old Republic video game. Disappointed with the end result seen on recently published images, he undertook to finalize his MOC to obtain this result.
Everyone will have an opinion on the model they prefer between the official version and this very successful MOC. As far as I'm concerned, I have a preference for the Khatmorg MOC reactors which I find more compact and more detailed.
Spin on his flickr gallery to discover many other views of this vessel, including shots of the interior.
We no longer present Rod Gillies, alias 2 Much Caffeine (See these articles), Talented MOCer and appreciated writer who offers us a new very successful micro-MOC with this scene of the X-Wing sinking into the marshy waters of Dagobah.
Once again, the MOCeur shows great ingenuity and gives a few pieces a very special dimension in this miniature context.
To see more and discover his other creations on the same scale, go to the dedicated album from his flickr gallery.
These MOCs are also subject to Cuusoo project.
