LEGO does not forget to promote its ranges and takes advantage of New York Comic Con to announce an animated feature film entitled LEGO Batman: The Movie DC Super Heroes Unite which will be released in 2013.
We will be treated to a melting pot of everything the LEGO / DC universe has villains and superheroes: The Joker, The Penguin, Two-Face, The Riddler, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor vs. Batman, Robin, Superman , Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, Green Lantern and even Commissioner Gordon.
We don't know much more about this feature film at the moment. But Warner and LEGO will not fail to offer us multiple trailers in the coming months.
It's Saturday and it's the day we go to Comic Con with the family. Large crowds in the living room bays, difficult to move around. Even the LEGO showcase that featured the LEGO Super Heroes Marvel set 76005 Spider-Man: Daily Bugle Showdown had taken hits. The minifigs found it difficult to stay upright.
For all those who asked me by email what the space dedicated to autograph sessions looks like, here are two images. The first is the rows dedicated to autograph sessions for has-been stars (or cult, it depends on taste) or in the making.
The second image is the stand where you have to get the "autograph ticket"for Carrie Fisher ($ 60) and Ian Mc Darmid ($ 125). There was nothing to see, everything was obscured by the black curtains and the queue was already substantial.
Take a trip to the LEGO Store at Rockefeller Center this morning to see how the promotion goes to get Krang's exclusive minifig as long as you are disguised as a Ninja Turtle.
At first glance, there are many children in costume, accompanied by their parents, who get one of the 300 minifigs distributed today. Few adults, some however came with a green t-shirt and headband, and it's not the crush. The staff play the game and distribute the minifigs to the children happy to walk around in disguise on this cold morning.
It is still very pleasant to see that the priority beneficiaries of this promotion are indeed those for whom it is intended: The child fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who follow the cartoon and who seemed for the most part very enthusiastic in their disguise.
En route for the third day of Comic Con, with today a record attendance expected.
To clarify, I didn't bother to make myself up like a turtle. Too bad for the minifigure. If the theme had been superheroes or Star Wars, I think I probably would have made an effort ...
Fortunately there are still some AFOLs present at this Comic Con 2012: I LUG NY presents several very nice dioramas in the "fanzone" of the convention, ie in the basement of the center hosting the event and which brings together the fan presentations and the dedicated space for buying autographs from celebrities who need to pay their bills.
Thanks to Bill Murphy aka murphquake for having devoted a little time to me and congratulations to these AFOLs for their work, of which I offer you a few pictures that I took quickly this morning below. Other photos will certainly be available quickly on flickr, in particular in Bill Murphy's gallery.
Presentation today of the two sets of the The Hobbit range that I told you about yesterday.
Surprisingly, not the big madness around the showcase in question, I think that visitors are rather waiting for the sets from the DC Universe and Marvel range which will be presented during the weekend.
It is no coincidence that Saturday and Sunday will be the two days when the crowd will reach its maximum, notably with a more family-oriented audience than that of these first two days. They will be served ...
