LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out

The animated short LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out, already broadcast on Cartoon Network in the USA was also offered on the UK version of the channel this morning. We know that a broadcast will also take place in France on France as part of the LUDO program without having for the moment a precise date.

If you understand English well, and you have to master the language to grasp all the subtleties of the dialogue, you can watch the entire 22-minute short film on Dailymotion (at this address) where it was posted. But hurry, my little finger tells me that the rights holders will soon ask for the removal of this video.

Speederbike - With parts from 9496 Desert Skiff

This Speederbike inspired by the one seen in theEpisode VI Return of the Jedi and proposed by Brix, a Eurobricks forumer, is unquestionably very successful. But what makes the work of this MOCeur even more interesting is that the machine was designed using only parts from the set's inventory. 9496 Desert Skiff (213 pieces) released this summer.

Compromises were obviously made to remain within the framework of the challenge imposed by the MOCeur, but the result remains very convincing thanks to the creativity implemented. I have seen much worse Speederbike MOCs than this ...

06/10/2012 - 10:18 LEGO LOTR & The Hobbit Lego news

Localized by The Brick Fan, this poster was obtained by a Reddit user in a Toys R Us store where it was simply given to her by a saleswoman.

We can distinguish the different sets that make up the first wave of the LEGO The Hobbit range with in order from top to bottom: 3920 LEGO Game The Hobbit, 79000 Mystery of the Ring, 79003 An Unexpected Gathering, 79002 Attack of the Wargs, 79010 Cave of the Orc King, 79001 Fleeing from the Mirkwood Spiders, 79004 Barrel Escape.

Note the red frame on both sets 79001 Fleeing from the Mirkwood Spiders and 79004 Barrel Escape which could announce a postponed official release or a temporary cancellation of these sets and would confirm what I told you a few days ago about the recutting of the cinematographic saga by Peter Jackson (see this article).

LEGO Super Heroes DC Universe: 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout

We suspected that LEGO was going to offer us an Arkham Asylum set following the presentation of minifigs at San Diego Comic Con in July and it is therefore done with this 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout officially unveiled tonight and which will be marketed in January 2013 exclusively on the LEGO Shop and in official LEGO stores.

1619 pieces, 8 minifigs (Batman ™, Robin, The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Dr. Harleen Quinzel, Scarecrow and a Guard) and an advertised price of 159.99 € (159.99 $ in the USA). It's expensive, very expensive ...

After a few minutes of observation, I see once again that it is the minifigs that will make me invest in this set: A remake of the Penguin, Harley Quinzel, an updated Scarecrow and a Joker in prison outfit, that's fine with me.

For the rest, the building, or rather the facade, leaves me unmoved, but the prisoner transport van is quite nice.

Too bad that Mr. Freeze is absent despite the presence of a space dedicated to him as the official press release indicates: "... special Poison Ivy cell with transparent doors, the Mr. Freeze here tower room, the Dr. Harleen Quinzel office and changing room ..."

The dimensions of the thing: 32 cm high, 34 cm wide and 14 cm deep for the building. The gate is 24cm wide and 12cm high.

LEGO Star Wars - Leia & R2-D2 Mosaic by DanSto

LEGO mosaics, frankly to say, are not my cup of tea. But when it comes to an emblematic scene of the Star Wars saga, that it is carried out with care and that in addition it becomes a useful and well thought out decorative object, I am already much more sensitive to the thing. .

Dan Sto presents here a nice realization with this reproduction of the scene from theEpisode IV Star Wars: A New Hope during which Leia hides the Death Star's plans in R2-D2's memory and asks Obiwan Kenobi for help via a holographic message.

Just one thing, to take full advantage of this creation, take a step back (a little longer) and you will see that with a little distance, it's amazing.

Other photos available on the dedicated topic to this mosaic on Eurobricks.
