Nice MOC that this reconstruction of the pass also known under the name of Gates of Argonath. The rock drape effect (I don't know if I'm making myself understood ...) on the two statues is stunning, both light and massive ((I hope you follow ...).
The intelligent shooting gives an even more majestic air to the two stone giants.
To see more, it's on ShaydDeGrai's MOCpages space that it happens.
Actor John Callen, who plays Oin in The Hobbit trilogy, has just unveiled the minifig version of his character himself and this photo is starting to circulate.
The link to this image was posted on theonering.net forum.
I allowed myself to clarify it a bit, just to discover this new minifigure in good conditions ...
I've always loved the Midi format and I regret that LEGO didn't release more sets on this scale. Yet the two sets already released are very convincing: The 7778 Mid-scale Millennium Falcon released in 2009 and 8099 Midi-Scale Imperial Star Destroyer released in 2010.
Masked Builder presents its second version of the Venator at this scale and it is successful: The compromise between the reduced size and the level of detail is ideal for my taste. With a small discreet support, this vessel can take pride of place in the living room without taking up too much space ... Obviously, with this format, some compromises must be made to maintain the general appearance of the machine, but the goal here is not not to offer a model with perfect proportions.

Orders for this 10228 set are being delivered gradually and the images posted by the lucky owners of the haunted house at € 139.99 (or € 179.99) reveal beautiful things to us, but not only ...
Thus, on these photos of the construction of the set posted on the Brickpirate forum by Gtoyan, we discover that the Sand Green pieces that make up part of the walls are obviously not all the same shade. A bit sorry for a set at this price ...
If you have purchased this set and are also having this problem, please let us know in the comments.
... if LEGO put a little of its own and decided to offer us something other than ships ...
I'm not really a fan of LDD MOCs (Lego digital designer), I think I've written it here a good half-dozen times already. But this project initiated by ADHO15 is interesting in more ways than one. First of all, his Jedi Temple is a real success on this scale. Nothing to say, it's perfect. But behind this idea, another should be able to gain ground: What if LEGO offered some iconic buildings from the Star Wars universe in the same spirit as those of the current Architecture range?
The potential is enormous: Cloud City, Mos Eisley's cantina, Jabba's lair, Yavin IV base, etc ... And an Architecture / Star Wars range would certainly be a hit with fans. It would complete a range made up almost exclusively of vessels and collectors would certainly be interested in a mini-collection of emblematic places of the saga on a micro or mini scale.
For now, this virtual MOC is a Cuusoo project. It is not the only one in this spirit, but this one is very accomplished visually. Other views of this building are available in MOCeur's BrickShelf gallery and he even offers the file in .lxf format of its creation.
Edit: 3D rendering of the image was performed by bobsy26 (see his flickr gallery) according to the file of ADH015.
