LEGO Star Wars 9509 Star Wars Advent Calendar 2012

This year again flickr should suffer with the hundreds of photos posted when opening the daily box of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar.

Worse still with the massive use of Instagram which allows smartphone owners to think of themselves as Arthus Bertrand on LSD with pseudo-artistic effects applied to micro-vessels unwrapped with relish on D-Day ....

No joke, it's 40 ° C and we already know everything about the very wintery upcoming Star Wars Calendar, the fault of LEGO for leaving its images lying around, and what we already remember is the Darth Maul in his coat of Santa Claus accompanied hard R2-D2 in snowman mode. Minifig collectors will be in heaven and the rest of the content of the set will quickly end up in everyone's memory or in their bulk.

The and 9509 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar is obviously already in pre-order on amazon.de at a rate of 29.99 € for availability announced on September 29, 2012. It makes sense. But the existential question that torments me this morning is: Why is Maul equipped with a shovel? To collect the snow? To dig a hole and bury itself in it for fear of ridicule?

I don't have the answer, but GRogall has some high resolution photos for you to enjoy on his Brickshelf space.

SDCC 2012 - LEGO Star Wars Exclusive Darth Maul Mini Infiltrator

You don't feel like spending just under 100 € on eBay to offer you this "exclusive" set sold for $ 40 at Comic Con San Diego 2012? Brickset offers you an alternative solution with the provision instructions in pdf format (scanned by Mike Lilly) allowing to reproduce the Mini Sith Infiltrator contained in the famous most expensive tin can in the world ... The necessary parts are common and you probably have them somewhere in your bulk.

If you already have the minifig also provided, namely the Darth Maul in The Clone Wars version in its bag (6005188), all you have to do is keep the next tin can that you open to carefully store your parts. and your minifig. You will thus have the satisfaction of having at home the equivalent of this promotional set which is sold at slightly abusive prices.

If you don't like ravioli, a can of sauerkraut or lentil savory will do. And good appetite, of course...

The Watchtower of Amon Sûl by TheBrickAvenger

TheBrickAvenger returns with a new staging echoing LEGO's adaptation of the remains of Amon Sûl's tower in the set 9472 Attack on Weathertop (51.71 € at amazon.es right now).

It seems (the specialists of the thing will confirm or deny ...) that this scene fits better with the original description which is made of it in the work of Tolkien: Fewer ruined walls than in the official LEGO set or in the film of Peter Jackson.

The base is simply magnificent with its successive layers which give density and relief to the whole by highlighting the action. The ruins are sober, we find the remaining stones on the ground under the feet of the minifigs in action and the pieces of walls still standing are enough to create the desired atmosphere.

LEGO Store Saarbrücken

And it's Mattingly (in the comments) that tells us this job offer on the APEC website : The recruitment firm Mercuri Urval is looking for a director and a deputy for a store concept (Flagship Store) set up in Lille Center by LEGO.

This is clearly the implicit announcement of the imminent opening of the brand's first French store, which will therefore be the spearhead of the policy of establishing LEGO in France.

The announcement speaks of around twenty people to manage and an annual turnover of around € 4 million ...

This is going to upset the LEGO landscape in France, with the brand's entry into play in this market that has been neglected for too long. The choice of the city of Lille may surprise you, but it is strategic with Belgium and Luxembourg nearby.

As usual with brands setting up in a country with a first point of sale, this LEGO Store will serve as a test for the brand, which will then decide whether other points of sale can be established elsewhere in France.

I would have bet instead on Paris with a prestigious address, but LEGO surprises with this job offer in Lille that I saved for you in pdf format at this address, in case you want to apply .... You will still need to have some experience in store management and be fluent in English. If so, the dream job is yours ....
