Most of you already know the format "chibi".
For others, it's difficult to define this format, but we can say that the goal is to reproduce something by exaggerating certain proportions, to make it more ... cute. Originally, the word chibi comes from Japan and means in slang something like "little person".
In the manga world this term is used to refer to characters drawn with oversized heads.

Et DarthNick offers us a perfect example of what is possible to achieve in this format with this X-Wing and this Tie Fighter. So we can calmly say: "It's cute..."and that's the goal, without trying to determine if the MOC is faithful to the original model or not.

Because it's not all ship MOCs or micro-scale versions in life, you have to get that feeling every now and then that makes you say to yourself: "Ah yes, still, there is room on this MOC ..."

Republicattack, a young 14-year-old MOCeur, has embarked on a large-scale project. His diorama on Geonosis is rather LEGOphage and the project is progressing slowly, depending in particular on the supply of parts as the MOCeur himself says. He plans to stage a slew of ships and gear from official sets in the attack on this imposing base. A good hundred droids accompanied by a few squads of geonosians will come to face some sections of clones.

It remains to be seen how Republicattack will flesh it out and refine the level of detail. The base (not the building) is there and it is good. From now on it is a work of precision which awaits the MOCeur to give it a little more density.

 And this is an announcement we expected when we discovered the line-up of Super Heroes minifigs presented at Comic Con in San Diego: Bane, Gordon and Batman in their version inspired by the film will therefore be in the game in at least one LEGO set if the text of the press release issued today : 

"... The much-anticipated film is also being supported by the official partner in the construction category, LEGO, with a construction set inspired by The Dark Knight Rises ..."

However, the meager information available so far suggested that LEGO would ignore the film. An IGN article whose author said he contacted LEGO about the The Dark Knight franchise had disappointed many fans who wanted to believe that LEGO would at least release a set based on the film.

In short, it is thus acquired, we will be entitled to a set, and apparently only one, based on the film. Hopefully the Tumbler is in the game, this machine definitely deserves an official version despite the superb MOCs released so far. 

Helm's Deep inspires MOCeurs, and in particular Daniel Z "DNL" who presents here a creation intended to be displayed in a store in Oslo.

The result is awe-inspiring, with an impressive level of detail and a beautifully ordered mix of textures and colors. The side of the mountain with its rocks, and in particular the part where the Hornburg is tangled, is superb. The access ramp to the fortress is also perfectly curved. The whole is visually contrasted and balanced: Neither too large nor overloaded, this MOC is a real feast for the eyes.

And it's just2good, Eurobricks forumer who offers us the very first review of (play) set 6873 Spider-Man's Doc Ock Ambush (Available on amazon.de for 69.99 €).

No surprise, it's a playset that will delight the youngest, and whose minifigs are very successful. Doc Ock's vehicle is nice, the lab where Spider-Man must infiltrate to save Iron Fist from Doc Ock's clutches is a bit rickety, but it will allow for a little fun with the few features it has and that just2good presents in the video.
