LEGO Star Wars - mMay the 4th promotional postcard

Americans are starting to receive the famous annual postcard from LEGO announcing the May 4 promotion. As you already know, the exclusive minifigure is therefore this year a version TC-14 Chrome Silver. The card indicates that an exclusive R2-D2 poster will also be in the game. The shipping costs will be free (probably from a certain amount) and some sets from the Star Wars range will be on sale.

If you plan to order the set on this occasion SCU 1025 R2-D2, be careful even if it will probably be useless to be in front of your basket at midnight on May 00th. Indeed, the promotion is generally only active early in the morning, probably based on the American time zone. On the other hand, this new UCS should sell out quickly and it will still be necessary to be reactive to avoid having to wait several weeks in the event of temporary out of stock ... (Photo by Kitfistonator)

9476 The Orc Forge

GRogall is in good shape and therefore offers us the first official visual of the set 9476 The Orc Forge.

First observation, a minifigure has been removed compared to the version of the set presented at the New York Toy Fair 2012 (see this article).

For the rest, we note the presence of a luminous brick. We will have to wait to see the final version of this set more closely ...

Custom Red Hood by _Tiler

_Tiler is a really talented designer. I had the opportunity to admire some sketches that he keeps confidential of his work on different minifig projects and I think that we achieve what is currently best in terms of creativity when we talk about minfigs customs.

Today he presents his custom of Red Hood, character from the DC Comics universe who feeds a whole legend about his origins and the different characters who have worn the costume. In Batman: Under the Red Hood, it is a resuscitated Jason Todd, ex Robin who hides under the mask of Red Hood.

I obviously ordered my copy from Christo, who prints the _Tiler minifigs, and I'm looking forward to it ... It has also become very complicated to be able to afford some customs at Christo on eBay because the auctions are 'fly on the most coveted minifigs ....

LEGO Cuusoo: The Winchester won't happen ....

It is by a brief press release on his blog that the LEGO Cuusoo team announces the news: The project Winchester Shaun of the Dead that had reached 10.000 supporters will not happen. Point.

The advanced explanation holds up: The project, or in any case the film from which it is inspired, is not compatible with the manufacturer's target clientele: 6-11 year olds. End of the discussion. A whole paragraph follows praising Yatkuu, the MOCeur behind the project, and the thing is folded.

In short, I suspected a little, and even if some wanted to believe it because of the popular and media enthusiasm that this MOC will have generated.

LEGO's argument is still a bit dubious: It would have been enough to identify the product as Collector for Adults, and voila ... In short, once again LEGO is more about its own image as a manufacturer respectful of its pseudo non-violence policy, than the demand of its potential customers ...
