We are a fan or not of the scenes offered by LEGO in its LEGOLAND parks, mainly because of the format that has become commonly called Miniland-Scale.
The Californian park is currently receiving a few new models including this sublime SandCrawler designed by Erik Varszegi. This name certainly tells you something, it is the guy who designed this Venator...
He sets the scene again with this superb SandCrawler of more than 15.000 pieces which will be on display at LEGOLAND California park. The machine is equipped with LEDs thanks to the collaboration of the types of Lifelites, a company specializing in the field of lighting via micro-LEDs.
To discover this machine from every angle, go to the dedicated flickr gallery offered by FBTB. While you're there, don't hesitate to discover or rediscover the UCS version of SandCrawler proposed a few months ago by marshal_banana.
Moreover, if you want to see what the scenes of LEGOLAND park (in Billund) give, I had gathered photos with the agreement of CopMike on several dedicated pages accessible here:
Star Wars MiniLand - LEGOLAND Billund - Episode I The Phantom Menace - Naboo
Star Wars MiniLand - LEGOLAND Billund - Episode II Attack of the Clones - Geonosis
Star Wars MiniLand - LEGOLAND Billund - Episode III Revenge of the Sith - Kashyyk
Star Wars MiniLand - LEGOLAND Billund - Episode IV A New Hope - Tatooine
Star Wars MiniLand - LEGOLAND Billund - Episode V The Empire Strikes Back - Hoth
Star Wars MiniLand - LEGOLAND Billund - Episode VI Return Of The Jedi - Endor
Star Wars MiniLand - LEGOLAND Billund - The Clone Wars - Christophsis
Finally, here are the official visuals of the LEGO Lord of the Rings range offered by GRogall on Eurobricks. Enough to get a precise idea of the contents of these long-awaited boxes ...
Note that the minifigs still dance the lambada in 3D on some close-up photos (minifigs from set 9471, 9472 and 9473). We will have to wait to see the plastic versions.
We had almost forgotten this Darth Maul in a bag distributed during the New York Toy Fair 2012 and that some mistakenly believed to have been drawn in a very limited series as is the case for the minifigs of Captain America and Iron Man.
This pouch is now available on Bricklink from a vendor in Eastern Europe (Czech Republic) for $ 30. To be honest, I ordered one. Not that I think this bag is so exclusive that it will be difficult to find, but as they say, better to hold on than to run.
I remain convinced that we will see this set again during a promotion (May the Fourth?) Or at an upcoming show. But if you're ready to spend $ 22, head to the Bricklink Wasserman Shop.
And if you're not happy, wait for the balances in 2 years, or pull out your Millenium card in six months. LEGO is no longer in the tariff level, and the set SCU 1025 R2-D2 is on the LEGO Shop for 194.99 €. Collectors have money and LEGO is committed to making them spend it. And despite this very high price, I am convinced that this set will enter from May 1, 2012, the official date of sale, in the top 3 of the best-selling UCS sets in the Star Wars range.
Indeed, the astromech droid companion of C-3PO is a symbol which should attract all fans of the saga, AFOLs or not, who will not hesitate to pay a high price to have this R2-D2 of 31 enthroned on their desk. cm high. the iconic character of this character should attract customers who usually patronize LEGOs but this time around will want to treat themselves to the ultimate gadget.
Obviously, there will always be a few wealthy amateurs to find this price quite reasonable. After all, the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon was sold well for € 549 when it is just a parts-based mockup intended for exhibition without any proper functionality (pass me the rotating turrets. and the doors that open). What is even more shocking is the price of this set in other countries: $ 179.99 in the United States, £ 149.99 in Great Britain... Tax or not, VAT or not, take out your calculators and see for yourselves that we are indeed the cash cows of the business ...
Let's go for a few minutes of action and humor with this new, very well done LEGO DC Super Heroes themed video that could actually be the intro of the future game. Lego batman 2.
