While the rest of the range is already available across the Atlantic, the set 6860 The Batcave is always prayed for.
But if you have the cash, you can get it right now for the low price of $ 499.99 from this merchant, who illustrates his announcement with a very real photo of the box, thus assuring potential buyers that he has this set in his possession.
The price is of course prohibitive, but I'm sure that this set will find a buyer quickly ...
Let's go for a list of what could be the sets of the LOTR range for June 2012.
This list which is currently circulating everywhere, on forums and on Youtube (cf. TheLegoAdrian's comment on the previous article) was posted on 16/12 by Eurobricks forumer AllanSmith (see here), and a few hours later, another forumer, Cwetqo, confirmed the existence of these sets (see here:
9469 Gandalf Arrives
9470 Shelob Attacks
9471 Uruk-hai Army
9472 Attack on Weathertop
9473 The Mines of Moria
9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep
9476 The Orc Forge
The names are catchy and promising.
We will take care not to get carried away on this list before having confirmation from other sources, or before having access to the first preliminary visuals.
In addition, there is no point in getting excited about the names of these sets either, LEGO being the specialist in pompous names, to ultimately offer us sets that have little to do with what the AFOLs expected. ..
Obviously, just like you, I'm impatient to know the list of sets that will be offered to us. But more than just a simple list, I'd start jumping all over the place when the first visuals pop up.
In the meantime, since we still don't know anything, let me illustrate this article with a photo relating to Peter Jackson's next film: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey...
This spaceship piloted by Asajj Ventress and seen in particular in the 12th episode of season 3 of the animated series The Clone Wars has not been often reproduced by MOCeurs. I offered you on this blog Joel Baker's version at the beginning of 2011, and since nothing or not much, except the micro version of Vacherone (see this article).
Unlike Joel Baker's MOC, this one uses wings that are not made of parts. Rook used the sails of the boat from the set Pirates of the Caribbean 4195 Queen's Anne Revenge and even though the wings don't have the expected circular shape, this trick works pretty well.
The final rendering is faithful to the original model and the fenders can even fold up. What more ?
To discuss or see more, visit the dedicated topic to this MOC at Eurobricks.
The box of the day of the Advent Calendar reveals something a little weird: A kind of support with 2 blasters, a pair of binoculars and a lightsaber. It's cool, but who is it for?
The lightsaber could be that of .... let's leave some suspense. The binoculars and the two blasters will still be useful for yesterday's Clone Pilot, but it still borders on the scam in the box of the day. As was already the case with Chewbacca's adjustable wrench a few days ago ...
As Master Yoda would say: Better tomorrow will be fine ....
The first boxes of the 6 series of collectable minifigs are starting to be available and buyers who have opened all the bags are posting here and there the inventory of their series of 60 bags.
So Huw from Brickset publishes the contents of his box, in total:
5 x minotaurs, Celtic warriors, bandits (15)
4 x skaters, leprechauns, flamenco girls, space babes, aliens, mechanics (24)
3 x liberty statues, robots, genies, suckers, Romans, sleepy boys, butchers (21)
Vickicara, still on Brickset, got her these quantities in her box:
5 x minotaurs, Celtic warriors, bandits (15)
4 x skaters, leprechauns, flamenco girls, space babes, aliensbutchers (24)
3 x liberty statues, robots, genies, suckers, Romans, sleepy boysmechanics (21)
These two examples are obviously not enough to make a certainty or a definitive rule about the distribution of minifigs, but it is a good starting point for estimating the contents of the boxes.
