This is without a doubt my favorite set from this batch of 2011. The minifigs are exceptional.
Sebulba has benefited from a beautiful treatment, the minifigure is pleasantly decorated, and finally looks like the character of the film.
In addition, it is finally articulated like a real minifig unlike the previous model of the set 7171 (Mos Espa Podrace).
We can finally consider it as a full-fledged minifigure and not as a piece of plastic which one wonders what it does in the bag ...
The face is well detailed, the glasses are present and the colors are more or less faithful.
The other minifigure that delights me is that of watt. The color is correct, the dressing is detailed and the dress respects that of the film. the reagrd is at the same time jaded and haughty, that corresponds to the character.
Forest et Obi-Wan are correct, but not stunning. Obi-Wan disappoints me a bit with his cartoonish face once again.
Anakin is successful, I love the childish look and the fighter's smirk with his racing glasses and his well decorated helmet. Again, the face is double-sided.

If the Falcon is not unanimous, the minifigs delivered with the set 7965 seem to delight more fans.
Luke comes in a two-face version, one of which is of particular interest to us: This is the face fitted with the "BlastVisor" and the training helmet.
This double-sided face minifig also comes with new hair for Luke, more modern and less smooth.
The print on the torso and legs is completely consistent and the whole is homogeneous. the two parts come together well and create a real dress up of the minifigure.
For its part, the minifig of Read is quite disappointing: The hair seems nicer to me than the more classic one we have known so far.

On the other hand, the dressing of the minifigure is unsurprising, simplistic torso, white legs and a little silly face despite the added pupils and the excess of lipstick.
Han Solo, Darth Vader et Obi-Wan Kenobi are rather "classic". Han enjoys a print that looks the best on the legs, the face is simplistic but correct, the hair is a little too smooth. They would have deserved a more natural treatment like Luke's.
Obi-Wan sports a face that is not necessarily very successful. The pupils again accentuate the cartoon side of this serious character.
Darth Vader remains classic, but after all, difficult to make him "cartoon", the character does not call for sympathy.

On the occasion of this Toy Fair 2011, LEGO presented licensed products, including display bricks for the collectible minifig series, storage lockers and "heads", new watches, and new saddlebags. transport.

A priori, 3 models of storage bricks for minifigs are planned, a blue version with 8 slots, a yellow version with 8 or 16 slots and a red model with 16 slots which can therefore contain a complete series.

The rest of the advertised products can be seen in the dedicated gallery uploaded by FBTB (From Bricks To Bothans).

13/02/2011 - 22:56 Minifigure Series
series5 toyfairThe Complete Fifth Wave Collectible Minifigure Series was presented at Toy Fair 2011.

We can see the different characters and their accessories a little better.

Nothing to say, LEGO innovates and this 5th series is undoubtedly one of the best currently offered by the manufacturer.

The bags will be blue, as indicated a few weeks ago.
The only question we can ask ourselves: Which minifig will be the subject of speculation in this series from the Bricklink and eBay dealers, as with the elf on the current 3 series ......
