7964Here is a pleasant set which promises to be ...
The design of the frigate is well in line with the set 7665 (Republic Cruiser), the colors are interesting, and the playability should be there via a removable top panel allowing access to a probably slightly furnished interior.
Even if this set is a bit of a "reissue" of a successful product, the minifigs delivered already make it essential for fans of the animated series: Quinlan Vos, Eeth Koth, Commander Wolffe and a Clone Tropper are included, with the regulations. Yoda.
On this set, unfortunately, we can feel the stickers, especially on the reactors, we will have to afford a second board quickly to ensure a replacement when the time is right.

7961We put the cover again with a version of Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator.
Rather close to the set 7663 from 2007 (Sith Infiltrator), but better designed than the set 7151 (Sith Infiltrator) of 1999, this set will be worth especially by the presence of Padme and Captain Panaka.
It will also be the opportunity to treat myself to a new version of Darth Maul, very successful for my taste.

The vessel is ordinary, tasteless and apart from hoping that the patterns will be screen printed, there is nothing to expect in particular.

7962Here is a set which is worth its weight in gold.
Not so much by the two podracers which are after all not very innovative, even if they are well made, as by the minifigs delivered: a very beautiful, brand new, detailed and faithful Watto, a finally resembling Sebulba, and a classic but successful Wald.
Anakin and Obi-Wan are very classic with a special mention for Anakin's helmet.
Sebulba's podracer is likable, although some cry sacrilege due to the use of meta-pieces from Power Miners sets.
Anakin's is very close to the one seen in the set 7131 (Anakin's Podracer) or the set 7171 (Mos Espa Podrace).
Note that podracers finally use Trans-Clear connecting pieces instead of the unrealistic classic Tan.

encyclopediaWe know a little more about the book to be released in October 2011 under the name "LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia". First of all, the visual of the cover seems to be clearer and in particular the location for the minifigure offered with this book.
It's hard to guess the minifigure concerned, but I'll let you make up your mind .....
For the rest, we discover in the editor's pdf which is also full of visuals and interesting information, and which I hosted here: DK_Children_Film_and_TV.pdf, a screenshot of two new pages regarding the A4-D4 droid and Aayla Secura.

This book undoubtedly promises good hours of reading when it comes out.
Note in this pdf, information on a Brickmaster book dedicated to the Ninjago range (140 pieces & 2 minifigs), a Brickmaster City (130 pieces & 2 minifigs), and a Harry Potter Visual Dictionary.
