FNAC.com and PicWicToys timidly open the hostilities of Black Friday 2021 with an offer that in principle allows you to obtain an immediate 40% reduction on a selection of LEGO sets.

The selection is more interesting on FNAC.com, with a little more than twenty boxes, while PicWicToys is content simply to offer a few references. Note that the FNAC offer can be combined with the one which allows members to obtain until November 21, 2021 € 15 free for every € 150 of purchase with the code BLACK15 to enter in the basket before confirming the order.

Today we are quickly interested in the content of the set LEGO Marvel Avengers 76237 Sanctuary II: Endgame Battle, a small box of 322 pieces that went unnoticed on the occasion of its launch on October 1 at the public price of 39.99 €. LEGO had not offered copies of "review" and the internet had therefore not been inundated with tests of this product last October.

In short, I think we can immediately associate this product with the universe microfighters If we take into account the scale of Thanos' ship: The construction proposed here will only be truly believable in a diorama of the final battle of the film Avengers: Endgame with a (very) forced perspective. The 36cm wide by 18cm long ship assembly ships in minutes, including decals, and the end product is visually appealing. Despite a somewhat chibi further reinforced when Thanos is in charge and some approximations imposed by the chosen scale, the whole is in my opinion quite faithful to the reference design.

It is above all a toy for children and LEGO is therefore not stingy in Stud Shooters with six copies installed on the hull of the ship, a cockpit that can accommodate Thanos and a cargo bay accessible via the hatch placed at the back. No Chitauris to drop, the hold is only used to store the Infinity glove placed on its support, an element that should have been delivered in its version Dark Red to be truly in line with the context of the product. The ship is also very solid and the tail of the craft eventually almost takes the form of a handle that allows access to the various Stud Shooters at your fingertips.

The set is obviously a welcome extension to the reference 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle (99.99 €) to which it will add some interesting playful possibilities, and the unique Chitauri of the other box can therefore end up in the hold of the vessel.

On the side of the endowment in minifigs, LEGO allows us to obtain a new version of Captain Marvel which takes again the head that the character already shared with Princess Leia. The legs and arms are a little empty and it's a shame, there was not much missing for the figurine to be really successful. The hair of Chandler Bing, Tom Riddle, Cedric Diggory or even Bruce Wayne, delivered here in Tan, seems appropriate to me.

The Iron Man minifigure delivered in this box is identical to that of the sets 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle et 76131 Avengers Compound Battle, hard to blame LEGO which is content to remain consistent with the context of the product. The character benefits from the two-part helmet, replaced in many sets by a unique item that will reappear in the LEGO Marvel set 76203 Iron Man Mech Armor from January 2022. The presence of Iron Man in this box was not essential if we consider it as an extension of the set 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle. But not everyone has the means to accumulate sets and Iron Man is more attractive here than any secondary character.

Thanos reuses his usual helmet, which would have deserved a few pad printed patterns, placed on a new minifig from head to toe that I find rather successful. No alternate face, but this choice allows the minifigure to be used without his helmet. In this form, he logically appears smaller next to his ship than the usual large figure, but he is no longer on the scale of the other characters included. We cannot have everything and we will be satisfied with the very nice pad printing of the armor that LEGO offers us here.

Should we really spend around forty euros for this ship and its three minifigs? Why not, especially if it is to please a young fan of the LEGO Marvel range who already has at least the set 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle on hand and who could thus replay the final battle of the film Avengers: Endgame by having Thanos' ship at his disposal in addition to the Avengers headquarters.

This unpretentious product is aimed at a specific audience, children, and therefore should not be criticized for being just a simple, slightly minimalist toy. This was undoubtedly the desired goal and the possibility of grabbing the ship as a point weapon is a real plus. Minifig collectors who would like to afford the Thanos and Captain Marvel figures delivered in this box will have to do their calculations: the two figures are already exchanged for a little at least a dozen euros each on the secondary market. . Not sure retail buying is really profitable.

Note: The set presented here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at 1er December 2021 next at 23pm.

LEGO continues the gradual release of new products expected for January 1, 2022 on its official store with the addition of two new boxes from the LEGO Star Wars range which will also serve as extensions to the content of the set 75313AT-AT :

These two sets will be available from January 1, 2022.

The Battle Pack takes the usual formula with three Snowtroopers and a Hoth Scout Trooper, the AT-ST is for its part accompanied by a pilot, a rebel and Chewbacca. For those who are wondering, the AT-ST in Hoth version, with its longer legs and its cabin with a different design from the one we are used to, is a machine that is very present in Episode V: briefly sees one in the background behind an AT-AT (30:22) then a second in the background behind Luke Skywalker's head (32:55). The machine does not therefore play a major role in this sequence of the film, but it does exist.

LEGO has released four new products from the LEGO Marvel range on its official store, these are three relatively simplistic mechs accompanied by very successful minifigs as LEGO likes to market since 2020 and a "Buildable Figure"Iron Man MK43 rather nice with its light brick and its small presentation plate that will give character to the whole on a shelf. We especially remember the great return of the X-Men franchise to the LEGO catalog with Wolverine accompanied by his mech.

Toys for the youngest and an exhibition figurine for the grown-ups, there is something for everyone. These four boxes are announced for January 1, 2022.

15/11/2021 - 14:18 In my opinion... Lego news Reviews

Nothing looks more like a display case designed to proudly stack minifigures in it than another display case. There are therefore many proposals on the market with more or less deep models, with a more or less accomplished finish and at more or less high prices. The sign DIGS for FIGS Kindly offered to send me a copy of their unique model currently on sale and I therefore suggest you take a quick tour of this showcase sold at the price of 115.98 € to which you must add 23.20 € for postage and then pray to avoid customs fees (around thirty euros), shipping is from the United Kingdom.

That being said and knowing that there are still a few LEGO fans who don't count when it comes to finding a showcase for their precious minifigs, is this showcase really worth the asking price?

The packaging is well thought out, the object is delivered with its front face dismantled in a box well stocked with various and varied protections. The plexiglass is protected by plastic film, scratches are avoided and the probability of receiving a showcase in good condition is therefore maximum. I'm a little less convinced by the necessary assembly phase of the front door on the frame: you have to install two hinges using four screws and these two elements are not painted white. The two hinges will no longer be really visible since they are then visually hidden by the edge of the front face, but you will have to remember to choose the direction of installation of the display case on the chosen wall so as not to see them anymore when passing in front of it. The direction of the door is defined quite simply by turning the window over 180 °.

Inside, there is room, a lot of room. DIGS for FIGS has chosen to ignore the bricks that we usually find glued or screwed inside the products offered by other brands and this showcase incorporates real shelves. The manufacturer supplies 56 white plates in 6x8 and each row can accommodate 8 plates for a total available width of 64 studs by 6 studs deep. The height available on each floor of the display case is 6.5cm, which allows the display of the largest minifigs.

The plates provided are official LEGO products and therefore these white plates are not really white. The cream tone contrasts a little with the immaculate white of the window frame, it will have to be done with. Another slightly annoying detail, the interior of the chassis is not perfectly calibrated to accommodate the 8 plates lengthwise and the last one goes up a bit on one side in some rows. Remember to fix the display case to the wall before installing the plates, they slide easily on the smooth support.

No door closing latch, it's a bit of a shame because the basic hinges provided are very smooth and there is no closing catch. Be careful not to hang the edge of the door if the display case is installed in a somewhat narrow corridor or on a passage point. The finish of the whole is generally satisfactory from the front, the back of the product is a little more basic with visible staples to fix the bottom. Four hooks are pre-installed to allow the hanging of this 5kg display case (empty) on the wall, in both directions depending on your choice for opening the door. The display case must imperatively be installed on a wall, it will not stand up if it is simply placed on a shelf due to the overhang of the front face.

The showcase is not "waterproof" either, the door does not completely fit on the edges of the frame and sooner or later dust will invade the premises. It will also be impossible to customize the background, as the back panel is not designed to be removed and then reinstalled. The sign specifies that we can install up to 200 minifigs in this display case, but this is including the possibility of putting them in two rows. In fact, it will be more reasonable to be able to hope to present 16 minifigs without excessively bulky accessories per row on the 7 rows available, ie 112 minifigs. On the other hand, the significant depth of the display case allows for some fantasy if you want to personalize the back of your rows of minifigs with a wall or any other decoration.

In short, this product is rather well designed except for a few details, its overall finish is more than acceptable and we get enough to install more than a hundred minifigs without having to pile them too much or try to make them fit on two tenons with parts that sometimes come off. The very sober design of this showcase, also available in black, also allows it to be forgotten and to integrate into any interior. DIGS for FIGS do not hide it, this is not a product made in an artisanal way. These showcases are produced in small series in China and their selling price has recently increased to compensate for production and transport costs which have become prohibitive over the past two years.

The price charged here is obviously not comparable with the cost price of a "homemade" display case made from a RIBBA frame, but it is the price to pay to obtain a spacious and ready-to-use display case. Note that the brand also offers the display case without the 56 LEGO plates by using the code NOBASEPLATES in the basket. The window then goes to 87 € excluding shipping costs which is immediately more reasonable.
