we love what you build led letter 1

The sign WLWYB, which already offers the very popular "periodic table of elements"in the LEGO version, is currently trying something new: the sale of brick-based letters with integrated LED lighting. The entire alphabet is available in this format and WLWYB sent me the letter W like Will ...

The product, 22 cm high and variable in width depending on the letter concerned, is made up of several rows of LEGO bricks in the middle of which are inserted cardboard sheets that diffuse and attempt to standardize the light generated by the LED strip that circulates the along the internal structure. The parts used are indeed official LEGO elements, they are new and they are not glued together.

Upon arrival, we get a decorative product powered via a USB connector that you can connect to a mains charger, a Powerbank or an available USB port on your configuration. One letter cannot be reassembled in another, the fault of the diffusers cut out specifically for each of the 26 models available for sale.

we love what you build led letter 2

we love what you build led letter 4 1

The idea is not bad, even if the execution may leave some unsatisfied: the back of each letter is not formed of flat but from a simple white cardboard retained in various places by a few pieces, the light emitted by the integrated LED strip is far from being as uniform in real life as on the presentation visuals and the sign forgot to integrate a switch that would have made it possible to leave the product plugged in without being permanently switched on.

Each letter is sold for $ 69.95 if you wish to receive it already assembled or $ 59.95 if you prefer to receive the various elements in bulk and assemble the object yourself. As you will have understood, writing an entire first name, NEW-YORK, or I LOVE IKEA will cost you a lot on arrival and you will then need to equip yourself with a USB hub with as many ports as letters to supply. For the price, the brand could also have thought of providing a few additional inserts in different colors, just to vary the moods.

No worries about delivery, the brand knows how to do it and the product arrives well protected in cardboard packaging.

If the object seems to you to be an acceptable lifestyle product to give to someone you know, you can limit the damage by taking advantage of a 10% discount on your order using the code WINNIE to enter in the basket just before confirming the order. The code is valid until July 6, 2021.

lego starwars 75315 imperial light cruiser 12

Today we continue with a quick glance at the contents of the LEGO Star Wars set 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser, a large box of 1336 pieces which will be available at the public price of 159.99 € from August 1, 2021.

Once again, this is a toy for a young fan of the series. The Mandalorian with a large playset of Moff Gideon's spaceship about sixty centimeters long by 22 centimeters wide. Everything has been designed to allow the youngest to have fun with four Spring-Shooters integrated into the rotating turrets placed on the hull and a large carrying handle based on Technic beams intelligently integrated into the gangway.

The interior of the ship is easily accessible by lifting the front cover which reveals a slightly empty space but which leaves room to play with the minifigs provided without having to hold them by the fingertips. Do not seek consistency between the interior layout of the LEGO version and that of the ship seen on the screen: LEGO has simply moved the furniture from the gangway to the interior of the ship.

It lacks some equipment to hide the side pins that hold the lower panels of the hull but the holographic table placed in the center of the room is very similar thanks to the four stickers provided. I know that the tenons on the floor make it easier to set up the minifigs, but I would have appreciated a more successful finish of the interior space by covering for example the surface of Tiles to clearly mark the difference with the hull of the vessel which remains rough.

lego starwars 75315 imperial light cruiser 9

Another feature intended for all those who will be playing with this large ship: the possibility of ejecting the two micro TIE Fighters provided via a manual catapult placed in the front. In reality, micro-things do not go very far even by pushing hard on the button with its springless rod and the function will remain purely anecdotal. The two TIE Hunters can also be stored in their respective locations located on the side of the hull, they are held there by a tenon. It is well seen, we will thus avoid losing them.

The finish of the product is not of a very high level despite the few obvious efforts on the part of the designer to dress the sides of the Greebs, these small parts which are only there to symbolize the details of the hull. The extreme simplification of the product also has consequences and the beams with their blue pins remain clearly visible inside the two mandibles, some adjustments are a bit hazardous and the four small reactors seen on the screen on the back side are missing.

The sheet of stickers remains reasonable with about fifteen stickers. There are a few patterns missing on the surface of the two outer reactors, they look a bit smooth against the profusion of visible studs and two additional stickers might have improved their integration.

This ship is therefore not a model for a demanding fan, but it still looks like the one seen in the series and it continues the great tradition of these LEGO ships in shades of gray with visible studs from the Star Wars universe. The whole is very solid, in particular thanks to its structure which calls for numerous Technic beams, and it is easy to handle. This toy is well designed and it should stand up to the onslaught of the most reckless fans.

The minifig endowment is made up of three figurines already seen in other boxes and three new characters. For 160 €, we could legitimately hope for a more sustained effort from LEGO. However, we cannot blame LEGO for the absence of Luke Skywalker in this box, the designers recently confirmed that they had not been informed by Disney of the appearance of the character on the screen.

Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian is delivered identically since this year in sets 75312 Boba Fett's Starship et 75299 Trouble on Tatooine. The Cara Dune minifig is the one in the set 75254 AT-ST Raider, his presence in this box confirms that Disney did not ask LEGO to remove the character from the set despite the releases of actress Gina Carano on social networks which earned him an outright ban from the series. The figurine of Grogu is the one seen so far in all the sets that feature this character, the difference in color between the head and the hands included.

We therefore have Moff Gideon, a Dark Trooper and Fennec Shand on the side of the unpublished figurines.

The Fennec Shand minifigure is successful, it would be difficult not to appreciate the graphic work on the different elements that make it up. However, LEGO forgets to provide us with hair to be able to enjoy the character without his helmet, it's a bit of a shame and the two facial expressions suddenly become a little unnecessary. To go through with the effort, LEGO could have padded the edges of the orange area of the helmet, just to give it a little relief.

The Moff Gideon figurine is also doing very well with its pretty pad printing and its cape in two colors. The face of the minifigure is well enough drawn so that we find more or less the features of Giancarlo Esposito and the torso perfectly matches the armor worn by the character on the screen.

Le darksaber would have deserved a piece with a dedicated mold, but we know that the designers attach particular importance to the elements usually used to reproduce the sabers of the saga and that they consider that the classic handle in which a colored tube is inserted is the norm. This is also the reason why Darth Maul does not take advantage of the new double handle seen in the LEGO Monkie Kid range. I add in passing that I am not a big fan of the saber handle used to lengthen the weapons of the Mando and Fennec Shand. If the coin is as symbolic as the designers claim, its use should be reserved for swords and nothing else.

lego starwars 75315 imperial light cruiser 13

Finally the Dark Trooper is also in my opinion really very successful, the only problem being that he is quite alone in this set. Three copies would have allowed to have a mini-squad on hand knowing that this set sold for 160 € is not a simple one. Battle Pack at the reasonable price that we can afford to buy by handfuls. You will have the choice to display the minifig with or without its shoulder pads, the torso pad printing is almost identical to that of the accessory which covers part of it. A black blaster would also have been welcome instead of the supplied gray version.

This set is therefore a high-end toy for good children or with an irreproachable report card, there is something to have a little fun with the different characters provided and the aesthetic of the product allows it to be displayed on a shelf without have to be ashamed of other models in the range.

I would have gladly traded Cara Dune for two Dark Troopers, but the designers decided otherwise. I'm not sure if we'll see these very successful Dark Troopers again in another more affordable set in the future, hopefully we will. Being able to line up two rows on the sides of the internal space of this ship would give me some satisfaction.

Note: The set presented here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at July 12, 2021 next at 23pm. For newcomers, know that you just need to post a comment to participate in the draw.

lego starwars 75312 boba fett starship slave I 20

Today we make the tour of the LEGO Star Wars set very quickly 75312 Boba Fett's Starship, a box of 593 pieces which will be available at the public price of 49.99 € from August 1st.

The number of pieces in the box and the retail price of the product speak for themselves, this is once again a set that offers a simplified version of an iconic ship from the Star Wars saga for the make it accessible to as many people as possible. Even the comparison with the Slave I of the set 75243 Slav I (1007 pieces - 129.99 €) marketed in 2019 is futile.

With an inventory of just under 600 items, no miracle: this Slave I, about twenty centimeters long and wide, is a children's toy that does not bother with credible curves or an exemplary finish. . The reduction in the scale of the model does not even allow it to take advantage of the usual canopy, we will be satisfied here with the part already used for the mini Slave I supplied in 2018 in the set. 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City. On arrival, this ship is obviously not at the scale of minifigs and it is almost more of a super-Microfighter than anything else.

That being said, the ship remains visually acceptable and the reduced inventory part of which is used to assemble the cart / display stand is intelligently leveraged to achieve the best possible rendering. Some stickers come in reinforcement to dress the handle and the base of the iron but their number remains limited.

lego starwars 75312 boba fett starship slave I 12 1

The real good idea of the set: the presence of the cart which allows the carbonite block to be transported to the ship and which also serves as a display. I often criticize LEGO for not having planned anything to stage the different ships offered, here the designer has found an ingenious solution that also allows you to play with the presentation medium.

Ultimate refinement of the product: the presence of a retractable handle under the sole which allows the vessel to be moved vertically without having to grab it from above. It's well integrated, the Slave I is not disfigured by this handle which also knows how to be discreet and this toy is therefore equipped to really have fun with it without being afraid of breaking everything.

I will spare you the description of the assembly of the vessel with its internal structure based on Technic beams, the photos above speak for themselves. We just remember that the lower surface of the sole is properly dressed and that the carbonite block can be stored in the trunk provided at the back.

lego starwars 75312 boba fett starship slave I 8 1

On the side of the two minifigs provided, the set being inspired by the series The Mandalorian broadcast on the Disney + platform, we logically obtain Boba Fett and Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian.

Boba Fett's minifigure is brand new and LEGO has not spared the pad printing to stick as closely as possible to the outfit seen on the screen. However, the jetpack is a bit lacking in color, and the part probably deserved a few designs. On the copy delivered in the set I received, Boba Fett's left shoulder pad has a big pad printing defect. Remember to check that your copy is not affected by this printing defect, if so, you will need to contact customer service to obtain a replacement torso.

The minifig of the Mandalorian is not new, it is the one already seen in the set 75299 Trouble on Tatooine (29.99 €) marketed since the beginning of the year. LEGO still does not provide the face of Pedro Pascal, you have to settle for a neutral black head.

lego starwars 75312 boba fett starship slave I 14 3

lego starwars 75312 boba fett starship slave I 10

In short, this Slave I will not replace the more successful versions already marketed by LEGO in 2010, then in 2015 and finally in 2019, but it will allow a young fan who is trying to optimize the use of his pocket money to offer this iconic ship from the Star Wars universe without spending everything.

The object with a somewhat rough finish in places but generally acceptable is easily manipulated via the integrated handle, it can be exhibited in an interesting configuration thanks to the display provided and in the process we obtain two major figures. What more could you ask for for 50 € and probably a little less at Amazon a few weeks after the product launch?

Note: The set presented here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at July 10, 2021 next at 23pm. For newcomers, know that you just need to post a comment to participate in the draw.

26/06/2021 - 20:00 Lego news LEGO Star Wars

new lego starwars 75311 75312 75315 summer 2021

LEGO finally unveils three of the novelties of the LEGO Star Wars range expected for August 1, sets whose minifigs are already known since the first "leaks" and their appearance in the pages of the set's instruction booklet 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle. The three sets below are therefore now referenced on the official online store:

We will remember the presence of Cara Dune in the set 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser, a character whose interpreter is not in the good graces of Disney but that LEGO does not hesitate to provide us again after his first appearance in 2019 in the set 75254 AT-ST Raider.

The three constructions delivered in these boxes inspired by the series The Mandalorian are relatively simplified versions of what they represent: the Slave I measures 20 x 20 x 8 cm, Gideon's cruiser is 58 cm long by 22 cm wide, and the armored transport is just 19 cm long by 10 cm wide.

I have received test copies of these three boxes, so we will discuss their content in more detail on the occasion of several "Review ".
