76088 Thor vs Hulk: Arena Clash

We will talk about the fidelity of the LEGO sets to the content of the films concerned when the latter hits theaters. In the meantime, you can always try to find some of the content of their respective LEGO derivative products in the new movie trailers. Thor: Ragnarok et Justice League.

On the side of the two sets based on Thor: Ragnarok, in the box 76088 Thor vs Hulk: Arena Clash, the miniaturization / simplification of the reference content, in this case the arena, is understandable. The LEGO version of the set ship 76084 The Ultimate Battle for Asgard seems acceptable to me.

76087 Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack

Concerning Justice League, I'm curious to see how the two vehicles present in the sets 76086 Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack et 76087 Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack are truly faithful to those in the film, glimpsed in the trailer below. These two devices are the elements that constitute the volume of parts of these boxes and therefore largely define their respective prices.

The Steppenwolf figure to be assembled seems to me very simplified but it is at least on the scale of the character of the film, unlike a certain Ares ...

I know a lot of minifig collectors who just line them up in Ikea frames don't really care what the rest of the content is in these sets, but I feel that these merchandise must be true to the movie they've got. allows to exist. It's also kind of why I buy them ...

To be continued from October 25th for Thor: Ragnarok and from November 15 for Justice League.

853638 The LEGO Batman Movie Minifigures Display Frame

Remember, in 2016 LEGO offered a cardboard frame in the colors of the LEGO Marvel range (ref. 853611) with fifteen places to display your minifigs.

The manufacturer does it again this year with a version specially dedicated to the The LEGO Batman Movie range (ref. 853638 - € 14.99 in the LEGO Shop). LEGO had the presence of mind to provide 20 locations on this new model, to be able to accommodate all of the characters from the collection of minifigs (ref. 71017).

Only there is a problem and some minifigs, whose costume or accessories placed in the back are bulky, do not fit on the intended locations due to the small spacing between the support and the back plate. It's too bad.

And it is important to note that this model, to be mounted on the wall or placed on the living room dresser via the integrated cardboard kickstand, still does not offer a transparent front to protect your precious minifigs against the ravages of time and dust.

You can therefore continue to DIY your Ribba frames purchased from Ikea.

LEGO MINIFIGURES DISPLAY

Since the launch of the series of collectable minifigs, the range of displays for exhibiting the different characters has exploded. And that's without counting on the know-how of many fans who design their own displays from various and varied frames purchased from IKEA and others.

Minifigure Display is a brand specializing in the design and marketing of this type of display and I received a copy of one of their latest creations, just to be able to tell you about it here in full knowledge of the facts.

This display, which can accommodate 16 or 20 minifigs depending on the model, does not overbid: It is a minimalist product without a showcase, and which is a priori strong enough to end up in a child's room. from LEGO.

The base is made of maple wood and the 28 cm side tray for the minifigs is in expanded PVC. 16 white 2x3 plates are provided, they are housed in the holes provided to serve as a base for the minifigs on display. The cutout of the PVC table top is correct, although the rounded corners could have benefited from a little more care: the rounding is not perfect.

The whole is sober, and the absence of glass allows immediate access to the characters. I also see it more an object to store his minifigs until the next adventure than a case for a collector concerned with protecting his favorite characters from the dust and ravages of time.

Let's talk about the price: 32.00 €. This is the price to pay to afford this product imagined by the designer Lars winkler. We can discuss the interest of spending such a sum in such a minimalist display. Everyone will have an opinion on the subject and the more DIY enthusiasts will prefer to take out their Dremel to make a custom display.

If price is not an essential criterion in your eyes, this display is a nice gift to give to a young LEGO fan who usually leaves his favorite characters carelessly lying around and then comes to see you with tears in his eyes complaining about not not find his favorite man-banana or his man-shark ...

Speaking of the man with the shark costume, some minifigs will struggle to find their place on the intended stands. These should be adjusted so that the accessories that protrude from the back of the minifigure do not interfere with the installation. Nothing prevents you from replacing the 2x3 plates by 2x4 plates for an additional row of studs between the minifig and the plate.

Finally, be aware that these products are manufactured and shipped from Spain. From what I could judge, special care is taken in the packaging.

This model is only one reference among others. A wide range of displays, some of which are in the colors of the different LEGO ranges (Star Wars, The Simpsons, Monster Fighters, Super Heroes, etc.) is available at Minifigures Display at this address.

Note: We do as usual, you have until November 12, 2016 at 23:59 p.m. to manifest yourself.

853611 LEGO Marvel Minifigures Display Frame

If you don't have the patience to DIY a purchased RIBBA photo frame at Ikea to display your minifigs, LEGO has thought of you with a new product: A frame designed to accommodate fifteen minifigs, with a gray base plate, a few pieces to assemble the supports and a cardboard outline in the colors of the Marvel range.

This new product, which can be hung on the wall or displayed on a piece of furniture thanks to its pre-cut back, is currently sold for around twenty euros at the Store at LEGOLAND Park in Billund. A bit pricey for a baseplate and cardboard frame.

This product (LEGO reference 853611) will probably arrive soon on the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores. It is not yet known if LEGO has planned to release a DC Comics version or a neutral version to exhibit different series of minifigs.

Update : This product is available at a price of 14.99 € on the LEGO Shop at this address.

Lego star wars minifigs

Exhibiting your minifigs is both a pleasure and a source of hassle: How to showcase dozens of minifigs while managing space, visibility and dust ... Many AFOLs have found their solution in the form of a frame Ikea and a few glued pieces to serve as a base.

Artamir is no exception to the rule: frames, pieces to present the minifigs and voila.

But I got stuck for a few minutes on his flickr gallery admiring his first three frames of Star Wars minifigs. As a big fan of the LEGO line based on the saga, I couldn't resist the pleasure of seeing these 300 minifigs lined up and I told myself that the Star Wars line is truly the best the manufacturer has ever produced ...

If you like Star Wars minifigs, take a look at his flickr gallery, the photos are available in high resolution and it's worth it ...
