Review: LEGO Marvel 76186 Black Panther Dragon Flyer

Today we are quickly making the rounds of a novelty in the LEGO Marvel range that has probably gone a little unnoticed since its marketing last June: The set 76186 Black Panther Dragon Flyer  with its 202 pieces, its three minifigs and its retail price set at € 19.99.

Product inventory allows you to assemble a Dragon Flyer, a Wakandian ship seen in the movies Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War et Avengers Endgame. With just over 200 pieces, you shouldn't expect an ultra-detailed model, but the LEGO version of the ship is doing pretty well in my opinion for a model of this scale with such a small inventory. The car windshield which serves as a canopy for the cockpit may lack a little roundness to really stick to the version seen on the screen but we will do with this element which is in passing nicely pad printed.

The good idea of ​​the product: the possibility of presenting the Dragon Flyer upright to reproduce the hovering effect seen on the screen. You have to find the point of equilibrium of the construction and not to jostle the shelf too much, but the effect is interesting. The cockpit is simply held by a clip that keeps it flat in flight position.

The four wings are articulated via a Ball joint, they can therefore be positioned as you see fit. Their surface with visible tenons lacks in my opinion a little finishing and some Tiles would have made it possible to smooth out these four appendages a little. For the rest, it's pretty good if we keep in mind that this is a set sold for 20 €.

LEGO can't help but stuff stickers everywhere and this little box is no exception to the rule with five stickers that bring a little detail to the cockpit and the ship's cabin. The set will do just fine if you plan to put it on a shelf for years to come.

Three minifigs are delivered in the box, Black Panther, Shuri and a Chitauri. The Black Panther figurine is the one also delivered in the set 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle I was telling you about a few days ago. The torso is successful, it just lacks a few patterns on the legs. The Chitauri is also delivered in several sets this year, there is no reason to build an army of these generic warriors but those who collect the sets of this range will have at least three identical copies on hand with the two figurines already available in sets 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle et 76193 The Guardians' Ship.

The only new and exclusive figurine to this small box is that of Shuri. This new version is the second interpretation of the character after the minifig of the set 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack released in 2018. The torso is superb, the two faces of the character are very faithful to the version seen on the screen and once again only a few patterns are missing on the legs and arms to obtain a fully accomplished minifigure. No need to do too much, a few lines would have been enough.

In the end, this little box in the soft belly of the LEGO Marvel range undoubtedly deserves our attention, it offers something to have a little fun with a very correct ship with a spacious cockpit that can also change position and three pretty minifigs. We can even currently find this set for less than 15 € at amazon Germany.
