LEGO Super Heroes 76000 Batman vs. Mr. Freeze - Aquaman on Ice

Finally, Artifex offers us its uncommented and stop-motion reviews of the 2013 LEGO Super Heroes sets. 76000 Batman vs. Mr. Freeze - Aquaman on Ice et 76001 The Bat vs Bane - Tumbler Chase.

At the risk of repeating myself, the minifigs are superb, the rest a little less. The Batboat finds all the same thanks to my eyes which is not the case of the Tumbler-Hot Wheels.

Yet LEGO, which constantly claims to be listening to its fans and customers, was aware of the expectation and excitement generated by the announcement of the presence of this Tumbler inspired by the movie The Dark Knigth Rises. in one of the sets from the 2013 range. The result is sloppy and well below the minimum one would expect in a self-respecting System set.

As far as The Bat is concerned, it's the choice of colors that puzzles me. The blue pieces have nothing to do here, I don't understand the choice of LEGO.

LEGO Super Heroes DC Universe 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout

Still a widely illustrated review at Comunidade0937 this time, of this 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout set that all fans of the superhero range including myself should be snapping up at the start of next year.

For the minifigs first of all, with among others Harleen Quinzel and her red and black collar barely concealed by her blouse, a remake of the Penguin and a Joker in prisoner outfit.

For the rest also: the prisoner transport van is nice, and the interior (or rather the other side of the facade ...) of Arkham Asylum offers many fun possibilities. I'm less sensitive to portal prowess, but I know many of you enjoy it.

This exclusive set is currently featured on the LEGO Shop at the price of 159.99 € with an availability date announced on January 1, 2013.

30162 Mini Quinjet Polybag

Another summer review of a polybag, and this time it's 30162 Quinjet that it is. It is a good idea for LEGO to reproduce in mini size or tiny or micro (It's as you want ...) this machine seen in The Avengers and which was entitled to its LEGO System version in the set 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle (available for 62 € on amazon.it).

For once, the transition to the mini format is quite successful, the lines of the ship are there, and we really have the impression of being entitled to a miniature version of the System version.

This polybag is not yet available for sale on Bricklink or eBay, so we will have to wait to get it. It makes you wonder where Artifex gets all these exclusives now ... I see you coming, don't make me say what I didn't say ....

For the more daring or the impatient, the instructions for this polybag can be downloaded here: 30162 Quinjet.

6873 Spider-Man's Doc Ock Ambush

Artifex is particularly productive at the moment and the reviews follow one another at a frantic pace. It is also paradoxical, with the large community of fans, the forums which bring together thousands of members, the blogs and websites by the hundreds, we always come back to the same when it comes to having a review. online a few days after (sometimes before) the marketing of a set.

In a few months, Artifex got everyone to agree, and even if some here consider that we are only talking about him, I must say that I do not have too much choice in terms of reviews: If I'm looking for something concise, aesthetically successful and without unnecessary and redundant comments, I come back to the gentleman's reviews, at least when it comes to the latest news.

So, admire the work, get an idea about this set, and then decide if it is worth integrating your collection ...

San Diego Comic Con 2012 - LEGO Shazam Exclusive Minifigure

Finally, we are talking more about the four exclusive minifigs distributed at Comic Con in San Diego than about future LEGO Super Heroes sets of which we know nothing to date. 1000 copies of Shazam, Bizarro, Black Spidey and Phoenix that fuel all fantasies, fill the pockets of some, empty those of others, and anger all those who believe that spend 700 € on eBay to afford the four minifigs is simply indecent.

Yet these minifigs sell like hot cakes on the secondary market. Some visitors to Comic Con sold the exclusive minifigure they won on site for around $ 40 to specialists in the exclusive product who skim this type of event. It's a job, we can't blame them for doing business.

LEGO for its part has chosen to make the buzz rather than announce its future sets. And these minifigs have achieved their goal: To raise the stakes around the manufacturer's new flagship range. EBay bidders are fighting for one of the 1000 copies produced. Collectors don't care if they spend crazy sums on the object of their passion. 1000 copies is not much. On the lot, within a few months, some minifigs will have been lost, damaged, separated from their exclusive piece of cardboard ... And only a small number will remain in good condition, available on the secondary market. After all, some show visitors got them for free and maybe will give them away to a young fan who will play long hours with them.

While waiting to see maybe one day these minifigs come out in one of the sets of the range, as was the case with the Superman of New York Comic Con 2011, we can still admire them in a virtual way with the mini video reviews. offered by the inexhaustible Artifex. Besides, with 4000 minifigs in the wild, I am amazed to see very few photos posted on flickr or on the forums. To believe that those who were able to obtain these minifigs by paying a high price for them are almost ashamed of having spent a lot of money to satisfy their passion ...

As for me, I chose the path of reason, I was able to order these four minifigs at a correct price from a specialist in the derivative product who practices a reasonable price policy. This reseller travels year-round according to conventions, collects autographs of personalities, collects and redeems limited editions directly from visitors on site and then offers them for sale. He also admits to having numerous contacts with the various organizers or exhibitors who facilitate his access to numerous exclusive souvenirs which are diverted for commercial purposes, and will only be resold at a high price on the internet. This business is a major source of income for many of these collector's product professionals.

This merchant, who explained to me in a few lines how to proceed, asked me not to publish his name or his web address here, but be aware that there are many websites specializing in limited editions distributed during the various trade shows or conventions that take place in the United States. The prices are much more reasonable there than on eBay ...
