After the minifig of Collector Guardians of the Galaxy, Comic Con in San Diego also has a surprise in store for fans of The Hobbit trilogy and the eponymous range offered by LEGO.
The exclusive minifigure of Bard the Bowman (portrayed on screen by Luke Evans) will be given away during Comic Con (Thursday, July 24) to a few hundred lucky people.
This is a different version from the one included in The Hobbit 79013 Lake Town Chase set released in late 2013.
Around 1750 copies of this minifigure will be distributed.
Two other exclusive minifigures are planned: A character from the DC Comics universe (Zur-En-Arrh) and a character based on the in-house license The LEGO Movie (Uni-Kitty).
Regarding the system for designating the winners, it seems that LEGO intends to remove the distribution of tickets in favor of faster participation on an iPad which will immediately determine whether the person has won or lost. Each participant's badge will be scanned to limit each visitor to one daily attempt.
