Star Wars TV Series - 2009You've heard of it, you don't know where or when, but you're sure you've at least once read something about the most incredible and longest-running rumor of the past 7 years: A Star Wars TV Series Could see the day.

It was even announced for 2009 as evidenced by this poster presented at theAmerican International Toy Fair in 2007 ....

After some quick research on the subject to check where this project is at, I bring you together here the essentials of what we know, what we think we know, and what is being said about this enigmatic adaptation. TV from the Star Wars saga.

IMDB list this TV series under the name Untitled Star Wars TV Series and set a release date in the USA for 2011 (!). the cast, out of nowhere, displays two actors: Anthony Daniels, historical interpreter of C-3PO born in 1946 and who is therefore now 65 years old. We also find in the cast a certain Daniel Logan who would take over the role of Boba Fett that he already held in theEpisode II...

Georges Lucas and Rick mccallum are obviously in production and that may be the only real information on this IMDB page ...

On the content of the series itself, many rumors or interpretations of the various statements by Lucas and McCallum are circulating in particular on collaborative encyclopedias such as Wikipedia ou Wookiepedia : The action would be between the two trilogies, would focus on the Bounty Hunters, mostly located on Coruscant, and none of the main characters of the six films would be in principle of the cast.
But since the first announcements of Georges Lucas in 2005 during the convention Celebration III, things are constantly changing and evolving. Lucas then said he was working on a Star Wars spin-off, the first season of which was being written. He said he wanted to then ensure the start of the series and then retire in favor of other directors.

Rick mccallum also declared in 2005 that the series planned for 2007 would be much darker than the cinematographic saga, populated by bandits and mafia shenanigans, and that Lucas had planned a complete transition providing its share of explanations on the junction between the two trilogies.

In 2009, the actress Rose Byrne, interpreter of Dormé, assistant of Padmé in theEpisode II: Attack of the Clones, declared that the casting had started but that she had no intention of showing up, not being very drawn to television series. This information was then denied by the official magazine  Star Wars Insider.
Lucas reportedly claimed that the series would see the Rebel Alliance prepare to take on the Empire. The Stormtroopers would be present, but no Darth Vader or Jedis on the program.

In 2011, Georges Lucas declared having the equivalent of 50 hours of scripts, and not of images as most of the sites had interpreted this declaration and invoked difficulties related to technical and financial constraints not allowing to produce a series of quality for television with a limited budget.

Also in 2011, Rick McCallum confirmed the existence of 50 hours of scripts, and the possibility of locating the shoot in the Czech Republic. He also mentioned the exorbitant cost of special effects at the present time and the postponement of the project to Greek calendars .... He also mentioned the constant evolution of television as a medium and raised the question of the interest of 'such a series in a few years.

In the end, no doubt about it, Georges Lucas wanted and probably still wants to produce a Star Wars TV series. The necessary budget is a brake and the technical constraints are enormous. The scenario is far from fixed, the casting light years from being finalized, and the project is at a standstill.

For everything else, sites like xxxpedia are full of hazy theories and haphazard interpretations of what Lucas and McCallum may have said or thought, dreamed or implied. I will let you go and consult them if you want to deepen the subject.

For the trouble, I put below a photo of Georges Lucas, whom you know and of Rick McCallum whom you know much less and about which I speak to you from the beginning ...

Rumor has it that this photo was taken during a discussion between the two men regarding the presence of Jar Jar Binks' son on the show .... Just kidding of course, don't post this on Wookiepedia. ...
