We do with what we have, and while waiting for the official visuals of the sets based on the movie The LEGO Ninjago Movie we are therefore satisfied with the images provided by the slew of various and varied books that will be available in a few months.

The visuals for three of these books have been uploaded to Amazon, so the most impatient fans can get a close-up of the highly successful outfits of the villains of the Shark Army of Lord Garmadon and some vehicles and other Mechs from the movie.

Attention, as usual, the plastic versions of some of the vehicles, buildings and mechs seen in the film will not necessarily be reproduced identically in the LEGO sets, especially the Shark Mech which may be "reinterpreted" in a more compact version if it is released.

Those who recently purchased the sets 70909 Batcave Break-in et 70912 Arkham Asylum based on The LEGO Batman Movie will understand what "reinterpreted" means ...

Un contest organized on Rebrick allows us today to obtain some interesting information on several sets planned around the release of the animated film The LEGO Ninjago Movie

These boxes will join the rest of the Ninjago range from summer 2017.

We discover on the visual above the set 70615, which contains a Down and the minifigs of Kai, Zane, two citizens of Ninjago City and some villains.

The and 70612 Green Ninja Mech Dragon (544 pieces) is only partially visible in the image, but we know that it will at least allow us to get Lloyd, Seinsei Wu, and Lord Garmadon. The dragon is visible in the image below.

Finally, the list of the prizes involved in this competition confirms the existence of a big set D2C (Direct2Consumer) whose public price will be $ 300 (...One exclusive LEGO Ninjago mystery set valued at $ 300 USD ...")

Both mechs sets 70612 and 70615 can be seen in the film trailer (below).

The full trailer is scheduled for tomorrow and while waiting Warner is stepping up the pressure with a few images from the trailer for the upcoming LEGO movie: The LEGO Ninjago Movie.

I'll replace the video below with the full trailer when the time comes, but since I know many of you are eagerly awaiting more info on the film, here's some more discussion while waiting for something better.

Fans of the Ninjago universe already know that the film which will be released in theaters this year is not a continuation of the animated series.

We have known for a few days what Lord Garmadon will look like back in this film and we now discover via the visual above that the (less) young ninjas, Kai, Nya, Jay, Lloyd, Zane and Cole, will change their look, both in terms of clothing and hair.

Everyone will have an opinion on these new versions of the characters, but we now know what to expect for the minifigs that will be offered in merchandise of the film.

The other LEGO movie of 2017 is the one based on the Ninjago universe which will hit theaters next September.

For the occasion, the shelves of your favorite toy store will be filled with sets based on the film (at least fifteen boxes planned), minifigs with a series of 20 characters in collectable bags (ref. 71019) and 'a slew of derivatives.

The pitch of the film is relatively basic: Lloyd and his ninja buddies, led by the wise Sensei Wu, will have to face the big bad Garmadon, who is by the way Lloyd's father. Any similarity with the Star Wars universe can only be coincidental.

The first trailer for this animated film will be available in a few days, so it will be the start of a very long period of teasing, announcements of LEGO products and speculation about the film. The ninjas will tumble in force.
