It's no secret that LEGO regularly changes the instructions and inventory of some of its products to correct errors, improve certain functions or polish the appearance of affected models and it is currently the turn of the Batmobile in the set. LEGO never communicates on these minor changes in the inventory of the sets concerned and the problem must be important enough for the manufacturer to resign itself to offering a "Service Pack"which makes it possible to correct the observed defect. This was for example the case for the set LEGO Ideas 21303 WALL-E in 2015.

Those who had read my review of the set in November 2019 certainly remember my remark concerning the 6x6 matte plate decked out with a central injection point which served for the roof of the vehicle's cockpit. I must not have been the only one who was disappointed with using this part as LEGO has since replaced this item with 3 tiles 2x6 shiny which allow to stick to the general aesthetics of this Batmobile.

The instruction booklet available online in PDF format has been modified and the illustrative visual showing the Batmobile on a black background has also been updated. The other photos in the booklet and on which we see the designer of the set observing his creation have not been retouched or modified.

Product sheet on the official online store has not been updated, it still presents the set as it was designed when it was launched.

If you want to take advantage of this change at a lower cost, please do not hesitate to contact customer service and politely explain that you want to benefit from this improvement without having to purchase all 3 tiles by retail. You will succeed.

I was lucky. I was on the verge of dropping a (very) big ticket on eBay to add the exclusive Supergirl minifigure to my collection when I received the notification of the arrival of a package at Shipito, without me knowing what. The organizer of the contest launched on the occasion of the DC Fandome 2020 virtual convention did not send any notification of winning or shipping, and the packages began to arrive at those who were lucky enough to be drawn. by lot.

This minifig is based on the version of the character seen in the fifth season of the series produced by Warner Bros. The pad printing is very correct, we find all the attributes of the outfit worn on screen by Melissa Benoist who has finally swapped the iconic red skirt for a decidedly more modern costume. no legs injected in two colors, you have to be content with a print on the front side symbolizing the bottom of the outfit and revealing the color of the part for the boots. It's a bit of a shame, but we at least have the assurance that the blue areas are the same color on the chest and legs. The flexible cape provided allows us to forget that the back is suddenly not really faithful to the character's outfit.

This Kara Zor-El / Kara Danvers minifigure will have the merit of being exclusive for many fans of the LEGO DC Comics range, but it will inevitably become a must-have for many "complete" collectors.

We know that 1495 copies of this minifigure were put into play during the DC Fandome 2020 convention and it is currently difficult to find it for less than 330/400 € on the secondary market. However, I remember getting other exclusive minifigs distributed at San Diego Comic Con and in the equally limited edition for much less.

For your information, I entered the contest, normally reserved for US residents, using a VPN and indicating the address in California provided by Shipito. We can therefore consider that I defrauded the participation system. I don't feel guilty for a second.

Art is priceless, but when it is too expensive it sells for less. This is undoubtedly the conclusion drawn by LEGO a few months after the sale of the four Brick Sketches inspired by the work of MOCeur Chris McVeigh, who this year became a designer at LEGO and arrived in Billund with his concept in his suitcase.

The public price of the four available references therefore drops from € 19.99 to € 17.99 and we can consider that this price reduction, which is ultimately only 10%, goes in the right direction even if I think that the fair price of these boxes should be € 14.99 instead.

No small promotional set offered to accompany this Batwing as was the case last year for the launch of the set 76139 1989 Batmobile and that's a bit of a shame. We must therefore be satisfied with the small set LEGO Mindstorms 40413 Mini Robots  currently offered from 100 € of purchase and early buyers who agree to pay a high price for their sets as soon as they go on sale will not therefore be rewarded this year for their self-sacrifice.
