 The Hobbit - Peter Jackson

We know that Peter Jackson doesn't like to do things by halves. He prefers to do them in three thirds ... And so the film in two parts The Hobbit will become a trilogy, as confirmed by Peter Jackson himself on his facebook page.

The first opus (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) will be released in December 2012, the second (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies) in December 2013 and the third is announced for summer 2014. Contrary to what may have been said at the start, the third part will not bridge the gap with the trilogy Lord of the Rings but will be centered like the first two parts on the story developed by Tolkien in The Hobbit. It would simply be a question of changing the hyphenation points of the first two opus to integrate the third epiosde whose title is not yet known in the announced trilogy.

Does this mean that we will be entitled to even more LEGO sets based on this new trilogy? No doubt that yes, LEGO will undoubtedly take advantage of it, like the director, to dilute its production on this theme according to the releases to the cinema then in Blu-ray / DVD.

New York Comic-Con 2012

Good news received by email just now: Hoth Bricks has obtained its press accreditation for the New York Comic-Con 2012

The validation process is laborious, you have to provide tons of information, examples of editorial content, etc ... and it is only after several weeks of waiting that the organizers validate or deny the request.

Beyond the satisfaction of having been able to obtain this accreditation, it is above all an opportunity to access live information from the show and not be forced, as too often, to obtain it from the American media present on site. This year for example, FBTB was almost the only LEGO media to provide full coverage of San Diego Comic Con and it is always with a little frustration that we had to follow this event through them to get the information we are. all fond.

New York Comic Con is not the fair where LEGO usually unveils big news, but every year some interesting information is communicated to fans. With the success of the LEGO Super Heroes range, I hope that this show will be the opportunity to offer you live some images and some articles that will be the work of yours truly, just to show that we also the French are present on big events. If the operation proves successful, it will be repeated on other occasions, notably in San Diego next year or at an upcoming Toy Fair.

The Wild Karrde - Expanded Universe

All fans of the Extended Universe will undoubtedly appreciate seeing the Wild Karrde reproduced in LEGO, the ship of the smuggler Talon Karrde which makes its first appearance in Heir to the Empire (Thrawn's Trilogy). Without going into the specifics of the type's history, let's just say that this ship has been discreetly reinforced to be able to withstand attacks and is equipped with three retractable turbolaser cannons ...

In short, those who know the machine will appreciate, the others will learn about everything that surrounds this vessel with original shapes and colors that change us from the eternal gray too sad, and which is here very well reproduced if we trust the different sources. visuals that can be found in two mouse clicks on the internet.

Nice work that deserves a look and the MOCeur in question, who calls himself LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist will show you more on its MOCpages space.

amazon

If I believe the blog statistics, more and more of you, French and German in particular, are using the amazon price comparison integrated at this address. It was also necessary to optimize the code of the tool several times to better respond to the influx observed at certain times of the day.

All is not perfect, but it's to my knowledge the only tool which allows you to compare at a glance the prices charged for the same product in 5 different countries. This does not of course exempt you from ensuring that the price thatamazon provided is the one in effect at the time of your order.

Many of you are also writing to me about this tool developed by us (and its limits) and I am taking advantage of this calm Sunday regarding the LEGO Star Wars news to answer here the questions that come up the most often and put things back in place in the face of certain unfounded rumors currently circulating:

 1. The prices are collected at regular intervals on the different Amazon sites, and are returned as is (except for the English version where the £ / € exchange rate is applied before posting). The price recovered is that indicated by amazon, which leaves no choice according to very specific criteria (availability & lowest price, Out of stock, third-party sellers at the lowest price but product not available, etc.) . Amazon obviously favors its own stock if the product is available and the cheapest.

2. The shipping costs are not recoverable in the tool that I offer you because they vary according to the product ordered, the country of origin of the customer, etc ...: In each country, it is possible to deliver free for natives. But an order placed from abroad will be subject to transport costs in almost all cases. It's up to you to see if they are reasonable and if the price difference between two versions of Amazon remains interesting despite the transport costs. You can perform an order simulation on each site BEFORE proceeding with the validation and the payment thereof. Think about it.

3. Amazon has logistics units in France and especially when you order on the Spanish version of the site, you will be delivered from France. This is normal and it is even rather a good thing, your products travel faster and therefore arrive to you in good conditions.

4. The LEGO products sold on the different Amazon sites are the same, there are no different versions of classic LEGO products (sets from common ranges) depending on the country. A set will be the same whether you order it in France, Germany, Italy or Spain.

5. You can use your French Amazon account to order on the different merchant sites. Your payment method, if it is registered in the merchant interface, will be usable in all countries.

6. Amazon correctly packages its products, with all due respect to all those who would like us to believe that this merchant is not capable of ensuring quality logistics, and delivers them within a very reasonable time if they are available in stock. Pre-orders are managed from the customer area and you can cancel a pre-order whenever you want.

7. I have integrated ranges that have been requested by several of you, and I will continue to do so if there is an interest in comparing their prices between different countries. Italy sometimes becomes very interesting, especially for the UCS Star Wars range. Amazon Italy knows how to deliver quickly and in good conditions, don't believe everything you are told about it.

8. In Spain, the total amount of your order will be increased by the difference between the amount of IVA (Spanish VAT at 18%) and that of French VAT (19.6%). This is normal, not enough to cry scam.

9. Amazon Spain sells new and original LEGO sets. The ambient misinformation aimed at making you believe these LEGOs could possibly be counterfeit is fanciful. Until proven otherwise, there are no counterfeit LEGO sets on the European market. By counterfeit means a true copy using the brand and the product codes to deceive the customer into believing that he is buying an official LEGO product.

Helicarrier by sok117

It's the kind of touting title that I like, generally this type of title boosts the frequentation of the blog in a surprising way, probably because of its ambiguous nature ... In short, all this to tell you that sok117 posted cleaner images of its MOC from the Helicarrier and the least we can say is that it is a nice playset in a modular and cohesive System format.

LEGO would probably not have done better, and that's a compliment ... The machine in a beautiful box with ten minifigs and a retail price of 149 € would be snapped up on the shelves of your toy store prefer.

I let you discover more about sok117's flickr gallery.
