10225 UCS R2-D2: The Artifex review

We will console ourselves for the delays in delivery of our orders of the set 10225 SCU R2-D2 with this video review of Artifex which of course presents the assembly of the droid in stop-motion but which also features some nice special effects that I let you discover.

Artifex also took advantage of this video to present R2-D2 equipped with a kit of LEDs which, it must be admitted, gives a whole new dimension to this set and which you can order on his online store or eBay.

Treat yourself, it lasts 5 minutes and it's great art. And for those who would ask the question: No R2-D2 does not have wheels or casters. It is a stop motion movement. Viper Probe Droid by Omar Ovalle

Back to serious things for Omar Ovalle with this successful MOC of the Probe Droid, this recognition machine seen in particular on Hoth and that all Star Wars fans know well.

While you're at it, take a walk on the flickr gallery by Omar Ovalle, a space is dedicated to all kinds of droids from the Star Wars universe.

You can also admire the other very successful Probe Droid of the moment, that of Tiler I was telling you about a few weeks ago on our blog.

LEGO Star Wars MicroChess by avisolo

It is a Cuusoo project which will probably never succeed, but after all, you don't have to wait for the goodwill of LEGO to make a chess game with the set 3866 Battle of Hoth...

Avisolo put into practice a very simple idea: Reuse the micro-figs from this board game to devote them to something more cerebral and I have to say that it works pretty well. The handling of these micro-figs is excellent and with a simple game board, you get a modern chess game, which will amaze your friends who are most resistant to your passion for LEGO ....

Considering the size of the set, you can even take your chess game on vacation and thanks to the studs on the board you can play it by car or by plane ....

LEGO Lord of the Rings: The Video Game

Here is a more explicit visual of what awaits us with the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game planned a priori for the end of October 2012.

It will therefore be developed by TT Games, as usual when it comes to a LEGO game, produced by Warner Bros Games and available on all platforms: Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, XBOX 360, PS Vita and Playstation 3.
