Today we are very quickly interested in the content of the LEGO DREAMZzz set 71457 Pegasus Flying Horse, a box of 482 pieces sold at the public price of €52.99 on the official online store and in the LEGO Stores. This set is in the soft underbelly of a range whose public prices range from €29.99 to €139.99 but it deserves the attention of all those who have found an affinity with the universe concerned: it is the least expensive of the two products which currently make it possible to obtain the main villain of the LEGO house license, the King of Nightmares, in minifig format.

We therefore assemble here a black horse with rather successful curves and reduced but sufficient mobility, the animal becoming a cousin of Pegasus when the throne of the King of Nightmares is installed on its back. The whole then works visually very well but we can only regret the fragility of the association between the two constructions, it only holds in place on two tenons, it has an unfortunate tendency to come off without warning and the two pairs of white ribs which can be folded over the horse's abdomen provide no support. For the rest, it will be possible to orient the head and tail of the animal and take advantage of articulated hips which allow the four legs to be shifted a little.

The two large wings supplied are nicely made, another pair is also available in the set 71469 Nightmare Shark Ship (€139.99) to embody the sails of the boat. I note that one element was missing in the copy of the set that I received: a large pad-printed eye in principle supplied in two copies and present both on the throne of the King of Nightmares and on the top of the cage in which finds itself locked up Nova. This last sub-assembly also brings a little playability to the product, it will involve Zoey perched on her bird to go and free the young girl held by the super villain and his henchman.

The bird with its articulated wings and movable head, ridden by Zoey, is also rather successful even if the construction can seem basic and a little undersized to really compete with the horse, more than 20 cm high. A few stickers are to be applied to the different constructions to refine their level of detail a little, the horse can do without them but the bird needs its eyes.

The supply of minifigs here goes to the essential with two members of the main cast, Zoey and the King of Nightmares and two second knives, Nova and the micro-minion Susan. All the figurines are delivered in at least one other box in the range but this remains the cheapest option to obtain Nova in pajamas and the Nightmare King with his magnificent pad printing and his very successful accessories.

This toy for children who are fans of the universe developed in the animated series currently broadcast on all major platforms as well as on television seems to me to be rather successful with its neat and colorful constructions, it offers, like the other references in the range an assembly variant at the end of the booklet with the possibility of transforming Zoey into a giant butterfly. Nothing crazy, the modification is not as spectacular as some of the much more creative variants imagined in other sets.

The public reference price practiced by LEGO often seems to me a little too high for what the set really has to offer, but this price is only there to set the bar high and serve as a reference for the percentage of reduction available everywhere else and it is obviously already possible to acquire this box for less than €40 at Amazon:

Today we are very quickly interested in the content of the LEGO DREAMZzz set 71461 Fantastic Tree House, a box of 1257 pieces sold since the beginning of August 2023 at the public price of €104.99.

The product clearly rides on the popularity at LEGO of the “tree house” concept, largely confirmed since the marketing in 2019 of the LEGO Ideas set 21318 Treehouse which has since become a bestseller and also included in the Friends range in 2022 with the set 41703 Friendship Tree House.

Here, the tree is therefore adapted to the LEGO DREAMZzz universe: the trunk with its blue foliage becomes the headquarters of the heroes of the range and is found dressed in various constructions and other scales which allow movement between the levels.

It's pretty well executed and the tree doesn't deteriorate even when the additional sections are not yet installed. The structure is solid, the branches benefit from a very acceptable finish for a product intended for a very young audience and all that is missing is a little more foliage to give a little volume to the whole.

There is in reality only half of the bark of the trunk, one side remaining bare to facilitate access to the different playable areas with a tiled kitchen, a living room with its sofa and two bedrooms logically equipped with beds and tables bedside.

So much the better for young fans of the LEGO DREAMZzz universe, even if the interior fittings are not at the level of a Structure, here they have on hand a "real" home with its different spaces easily identifiable and really accessible by the minifigs provided via the series of integrated ladders.

LEGO is also not short of fun little details with a mailbox on legs, a pretty carnivorous plant and a handful of mushrooms which bring a little density to the base of the tree. We feel the care taken in the product even if it is not an ultra-detailed model.

As with the rest of the range, the set offers two variants documented throughout the pages of the instruction booklet but the modifications here are rather modest and discreet and only concern the three housing blocks which must be fixed on the trunk using clips in the three locations provided.

In the basic configuration, the tree is in "peaceful living" mode, it becomes a fortress with weapons on all floors in the proposed variant. Both variants make good use of the set's inventory, with only a few small pieces left on the tile. You know if you follow, it is also possible to integrate the three modules of the set 40657 Dream Village on the branches of the tree, the three constructions, more detailed than those delivered by default in the set in question here, will then give a more opulent and undoubtedly more magical look to the tree.

Upon arrival, the construction still looks great without using the contents of another box and it offers different playable and easy-to-access spaces. But the tree alone would ultimately only be a somewhat sad playset and LEGO provides a little opposition to the young (and not so young) heroes with a very simplified version of the Grimkeeper also available in the form of a more detailed interpretation in the and 71455 Grimkeeper the Cage Monster and two villain figurines in the pay of the King of Nightmares including the Night Hunter.

The supply of figurines is also consistent and sufficient for a set of this size with a large part of the main cast and a few attackers who guarantee real playability to the set.

I won't go into the level of finish of these different figurines, you already know that LEGO has gone all out on this range with a riot of pad printing that will make fans of the Star Wars or Marvel universes jealous. We obviously cannot escape a large sheet of stickers which adorn the signs, furniture, flags and other street signs present on the tree, there remains on arrival a small series of stickers available to personalize the decoration a little. construction.

We could necessarily discuss the public price of this product, set at €104.99 by the manufacturer, which may seem very high given the content offered even if the whole thing seems rather convincing to me, but the debate is already closed with a substantial reduction proposed by various brands including Amazon which currently sells this box for a little less than €80, which immediately makes it much more attractive:

This new children's magazine uses the usual recipe used by the publisher Blue Ocean in many other LEGO universes with comics, posters, some games, advertising for LEGO products and an associated toy.

For this first issue, the bag of 18 pieces that accompanies the magazine allows you to obtain a minifig of Mateo and a micro version of the Z-Blob robot, the machine also being delivered in a more imposing format in the set 71454 Mateo and Z-Blob the Robot (237 pieces - 20.99 €) that I told you about a few days ago.

Today we very quickly go around the content of the LEGO DREAMZzz set 71454 Mateo and Z-Blob the Robot, a box of 237 pieces available since August 1 at the public price of €20.99. This set is not the worst of what LEGO has done in the DREAMZzz range, here we assemble an interpretation of the robotic version of Z-Blob, the companion of young Mateo. For the occasion, it is a question of going to rescue Jayden who is kidnapped from his bed by a creature in the service of the King of Nightmares.

The robot, about fifteen centimeters high, pays homage rather well to the version seen on the screen even if it is metallic gray during its first appearance in the second episode of the animated series during which it faces the Grimkeeper delivered in another box in the range, the set 71455 Grimkeeper the Cage Monster (€37.99). A pack bringing together the two products would have been welcome, just to allow you to replay the scene in question straight out of the box.

The construction delivered here remains relatively flexible despite the use of curved cylinders which inevitably deprive the robot of elbows and knees and it is possible to make it take some interesting dynamic poses. Too bad for the black joints which struggle a little to blend into the white and green context of the armor but we will have to make do.

As usual in this range, the assembly process is divided into two sections in the last pages of the instruction booklet to obtain two variations of the proposed construction. Here, the robot can choose to remain a mech in which Z-Blob is installed with a missile launcher on the shoulder and an imposing handgun or become a "real" robot equipped with a jetpack and two missile launchers on the back of the left hand, This second version is successful, the accessory which hides Z-Blob helping to reinforce the robotic aspect of the toy.

Both versions make good use of the set's inventory, with only a few unused pieces remaining each time. We stick a small handful of stickers which help to make the robot less neutral, it's aesthetically very correct. Two figurines are provided, Mateo with his magic pencil and Jayden asleep in his pajamas, so this box is an opportunity to get them at a lower cost.

This little box which will eventually allow a hesitant child to discover the LEGO DREAMZzz range before investing in more expensive products is an honest appeal product which makes the effort to present something to have a little fun without return to checkout immediately. The robot is available in two acceptable variants from the front and back for a product in this price range, it is stable on its feet and it can take some interesting poses. That's already a bargain for €21.

Today we are quickly interested in the content of the LEGO DREAMZzz set 40657 Dream Village, a small box of 434 pieces available exclusively on the official online store at the retail price of €29.99 since August 1st. The product does not deserve a lot of spotlight, it is simply an entry-level box that allows the tightest budgets to taste the LEGO DREAMZzz universe without taking too many risks.

However, this small set with no particular pretensions has a few tricks up its sleeve that should motivate all those who have decided to invest in this in-house license at LEGO. The product inventory makes it possible to assemble three small houses forming a colorful village, why not, it's cute and each of the shops offers a very acceptable level of finish.

More interestingly, the three houses can be combined to form a compact "tower" bringing together all the elements of the separate shops and without having to dismantle everything. It suffices to rearrange the subsets to obtain the promised tower. Even more interesting, LEGO documents the possibility of using these three houses in combination with other products in the range.

Nothing prevents you from doing it without LEGO encouraging you to do so, but I find it appreciable that the manufacturer distills some original ideas involving the association of different products with each other.
We therefore discover in the pages of the instruction booklet that it is possible to integrate without too much effort the construction provided in this box on the back of the turtle of the set 71456 Mrs. Castillo's Turtle Van, on the branches of the tree of the set 71461 Fantastic Tree House. or even around the central building of the set 71459 Stable of Dream Creatures.

For the rest, we get here three "Dreamlings" which hold the shops to be built with a magician, a baker and a blacksmith. The young Jayden in pajamas is included in the box, it is the only "real" minifig of the product. For 30 €, it's a bit thin in the absence of the real heroes of the range, but the marketing has been there and you will have to go back to the checkout to get Mateo, Cooper Zoey and Izzie.

In short, nothing to get up at night unless you plan to collect all of the products in this range, the other references of which are already available elsewhere at a more reasonable price than at LEGO, but this little set with a colorful inventory is no demerit in my opinion not and it offers some significant playful possibilities. It lacks one or two more "real" miniatures so as not to have the impression of paying too much for the thing for what it is, but the product offers a nice complement to other constructions in the range.

To be added to a basket if necessary to reach the minimum amount required for a promotional offer at LEGO and to make an original gift for the holiday season or a birthday. The fact that this box is exclusive to the official online store will greatly limit the risk of being several to offer the same thing to a young fan who appreciates this universe.
