LEGO Star Wars in 2016: Some ideas on the expected sets ...

The LEGO sets based on the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens are not out yet, but it is never too early to talk about the future: So here is what will be the beginning of 2016 on the side of the LEGO Star Wars range.

As for the sets based on the film which will be released on December 18, six boxes are planned, two Microfighters sets, two Battle Packs and two sets System :

  • 2 x SW TFA Microfighters
  • 1 x SW TFA Battle Pack (Hero)
  • 1 x SW TFA Battle Pack (Villain)
  • SW TFA Battle on Takodana
  • SW TFA The Pirate Transport

These six sets will be accompanied by four sets System based on existing films (Original Trilogy et Prelogy:

  • Hoth Attack
  • Bespin Carbon Freezing Chamber
  • Droid Escape Pod
  • Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor (ROTS)

Four Microfighters sets will be based on the Star Wars Rebels animated series:

  • SW Rebels Microfighters: AT-DP
  • SW Rebels Microfighters: The Ghost
  • SW Rebels Microfighters: Tie Advanced Prototype
  • SW Rebels Microfighters: Wookie Gunship

Finally, two Battle Packs based on the Star Wars Battlefront video game are planned, as well as six Contraction Figures. We already know one of them, the First Order Stormtrooper unveiled during the last San Diego Comic Con.
