This is not a 3D rendering but a LEGO-based construction.
Designer Steven Marshall designed this model for the Sony PSP, Nintendo DS & 3DS versions of the LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars video game.
Once the design was validated, it was modeled and integrated into the game.
Note the astonishing level of detail and the fidelity of the reproduction of this tri-droid used in particular during the Battle of Christophsis.

Steven Marshall has only posted this visual so far, but you can watch his flickr gallery, do we ever know...

vacherone bellyYou already know, I like MOCs in micro format.

This time it's Vacherone which offers us the Ginivex Starfighter by Asajj Ventress with its characteristic wing profile.

Obviously, with this format, no moving parts or sophisticated mechanism as on the MOC of Joel baker that I presented to you a few weeks ago in this article.

Note however the use of Technic parts and the presentation on a harmonious base and well integrated into the whole.
You will find more pictures on his Brickshelf space.

You can also take the opportunity to visit the Brickshelf gallery of Vacherone, who presents his creations on the Star Wars theme.

Small feedback on a MOC which I really like: This is a STAP (Single Trooper Aerial Platform) designed by brick doctor during a contest on MOCpages.
As I used to point out in these pages, I particularly appreciate the MOCs which reproduce machines or vessels that are not necessarily emblematic, or in any case not often reproduced on a UCS scale in the universe of fans of the saga. Star Wars.
There are "System" versions of this machine in many sets such as the 7121 Naboo Swamp, 7654 Droid Battle Pack, 7675 AT-TE Walker, 30004 Battle Droid on STAP, or the 7868 Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter.
This STAP is a machine equipped with two "blaster" type cannons used by the Federation of Commerce (in their brown version) and whose purpose is to allow rapid movements to civil or military personnel. A blue version is also used by the Separatists. It is in this case piloted by a battle droid in this MOC of astonishing realism.

If you've never seen this contraption in the Star Wars saga and are wondering what you missed, don't worry. This AAC-1 Hovertank is from the Star Wars: Battlefront video game and would have served as a reference for the design of the Pirate Tank that appears in the animated series Clone Wars.
Darth Yogi presents his MOC of this machine and if some details are approximate, the realization is rather faithful given the unusual shape of this battle tank.
To see other photos of this MOC, go to the dedicated topic at Eurobricks.
To find out more about this machine, visit this page: AAC-1 Hovertank on WookiePedia.
I put you below a view of the original machine.

I have always loved Star Wars minifigs, especially when they are presented in a vantage point and neatly lined up and staged ....
madLEGOman has gone to great lengths to organize its collection of SW minifigs on a display of the most beautiful effect.
They are classified in chronological order and according to madLEGOman he would only miss the Solid Gold C-3PO (See this article).
In all fairness, I didn't check it out, but spotted a few rather rare minifigs like the Boba Fett of the set 10123 Cloud City, Sebulba of the set 7171 Mos Espa Podrace, Gold chrome plated C-3PO (See this article) or the watt of the set 7186 Watto's Junkyard...
