marshal_banana just posted on his Eurobricks topic relating to the SandCrawler MOC a summary video of the work in progress for 4 months now.
We discover the 15 kg machine equipped with its two track systems in the test phase.
Note that this MOCeur began with parts from 3 copies of the set released in 2005:10144: Sandcrawler or nearly 4800 pieces in the colors suitable for this type of machine. Since marshal_banana has bought parts again and again on Bricklink to perfect his MOC .....

droid carrier mocLEGO has already tried to reproduce a Battle Droid Carrier or rather a Platoon Attack Craft (PAC), with the set 7126: Battle Droid Carrier released in 2001 and more recently with the set 7929: The Battle of Naboo.

In either case, you can't really say that LEGO has outdone itself.

These two sets are more of a pretext for getting half a dozen battle droids than for the realism and functionality of the transport vehicle itself.

A MOCeur ventured to build a more elaborate and above all articulated model using Technic parts of this vehicle.
The result is much closer to the vehicle seen in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace or in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, then in the animated series Clone Wars.
This Battle Droid Carrier can carry 32 battle droids which can be deployed thanks to a clever system that I let you discover below or on the flickr gallery of this MOCeur.

movie trenchOne of the mythical scenes of the Star Wars saga remains undoubtedly the chase in the spans of the Death Star (Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope).
Many MOCeurs have dared to reproduce this scene and that gives us some good surprises.
I have listed three of the most interesting achievements on this subject below.

First of all, here is this MOC by thewamphyri in micro format, on a 32x32 base plate and composed of nearly 1500 parts. 4 ships from sets 4484 and 3219 have been integrated into the scene. You can see more on the flickr gallery ou Brickshelf space by thewamphyri.

HGDebris also offers its version of this scene, in micro format this time. You can see more on his Brickshelf gallery.

A large format version was presented during Star Wars Celebration V in August 2010 in Orlando (USA). More pictures in this flickr gallery.

hoth brick movieYou have all probably seen what is now commonly called a "Brickfilm", that is to say a video made in stop-motion animation (frame by frame) and populated with minifigs and other LEGO vehicles.

But in this area, we find a bit of everything and especially anything. So when we get our hands on a video brilliantly produced by a French AFOL, it's worth talking about.

This video or this "Brickfilm" is exceptional in every way: Its director "musclemusemuseum" has reconstituted almost shot by shot the cinematographic version of the battle of Hoth. 800 hours of work were necessary from the purchase of the sets to the final result.

The footage was shot using a Canon FS100 camcorder, and post-production was done with Adobe After Effects CS5, Particle Illusion 3, Magix Video Deluxe 16 and Terragen software.

For the record, the snow was reproduced using icing sugar and the exteriors are made with images retrieved from Google and processed with After Effects by the director.

bow gunship mocThis machine, which has become a classic with the release of sets 4490 Mini Republic Gunship (2003) , 7163 Republic Gunship (2002), 7676 Republic Attack Gunship (2008) et 20010 Brick Master Republic Gunship (2009) has been widely used by LEGO and many MOCeurs have also offered their designs over the years, with varying degrees of success.
KielDaMan, Eurobricks forumer and recognized MOCeur, offers a version largely inspired by that of the cartoon The Clone Wars.
The result is up to the task: The template is respected in every detail, the colors are faithful and the original decorations have been reproduced to perfection in the form of stickers.

Go quickly admire this machine in all its glory in the dedicated topic on Eurobricks.
