Comics and Artists

And it is because Nicolas Forsans (Muttpop) allowed us in 2012 to obtain a French (and collector's) version of the book "The Cult of LEGO", which became for the occasion "LEGO Culture", that I support his current project which should delight comic book fans. And it's also because he is a nice guy, passionate and serious.

With "Comics and Artists", French version of the reference book" Leaping Tall Buildings ", we will finally be able to put faces to the names we all remember.
We've seen (or read) them hundreds of times at the start of every episode of the adventures of our favorite heroes in Strange or Spidey: Stan Lee, Franck Miller, Jack Kirby, Jim Lee, Steve Ditko and many more. These names resonate in the ears of comic book fans.

This 240-page book brings together 50 portraits written by Christopher Irving and illustrated by photographer Seth Kushner. What to discover behind the scenes and to know a little more about those who created all these characters who have since become heroes of popular films or animated series.

This book is also a very nice gift to offer: You must have a comic book fan around you. Think about it even if you yourself are not a fan of the topic discussed ...

As LEGO Culture, it's happening at Ulule and the Collector's edition project (600 copies, Gucci finish) will only be funded if at least € 7 is collected before April 000, 17. It's on track and if you are a fan of comics, this project should not leave you indifferent.

LEGO Star Wars The Yoda Chronicles: 75018 JEK-14's Stealth Starfighter

It's John McCormack (Creative Manager for the IP Novelty Development Team), the guy in charge of the multimedia aspect on The Yoda Chronicles (Web, pubs, teasers, etc ...) who gives some info about the mini series of 3 30-minute episodes which will be broadcast soon in an interview published in the latest American LEGO Club Magazine (to read here).

We learn by reading between the lines that the set 75018 JEK-14's Stealth Starfighter will probably be the one and only derivative of this mini-series developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm, which also seems to confirm Jens Kronvold Frederiksen (Creative Lead on LEGO Star Wars), the big boss of the LEGO Star Wars range in another interview published on the LEGO Club website (to read here), mentioning only this set is the four minifigs it contains.

John McCormack promises tons of web content relating to The Yoda Chronicles universe, secrets to reveal and talks about the collaboration of Killer Minnow, a creative studio that has already worked on multimedia content for the Monster Fighters range or on web episodes for the LEGO Star Wars range. Michael Price, screenwriter of blockbuster animated short films The Padawan Threat et  The Empire Strikes Out is also adventure.

The Two Towers by TMM

It is an original book press which must certainly have its effect on a library shelf or on a desk offered by TMM with Orthanc on one side and Barad-Dûr on the other.

The idea is excellent and the realization impeccable. we can always quibble about the proportions, the level of detail or the finish, the fact remains that this MOC whose originality lies above all in the use made of it is well worth a look.

Lego Batman: The Movie Dc Superheroes Unite - Clark Kent minifig

The Brick Fan releases some images of the exclusive Clark Kent minifigure coming with the Blu-ray / DVD pack Lego Batman: The Movie Dc Superheroes Unite which will be available at the end of May 2013 for the modest sum of $ 25.

As a reminder, this "Film" is in fact a summary of all the cinematic scenes of the LEGO Batman 2 game, embellished with a few unpublished scenes, if we believe the promise of the Blu-ray / DVD cover.

It will be noted that the outfit that Clark Kent hides under his clothes is that of the minifigure inspired by the comics and not that of the film Man of Steel.

The minifig is already for sale on eBay for a little less than 30 € ...

The Future of Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The rumor had been circulating for several days and it is now confirmed by a press release published on starwars.com and which teaches us a little more about the choices of Disney about the projects of Lucasfilm Animation: The animated series The Clone Wars ends with this fifth season, at least as regards the TV broadcast.

“Bonus” content, probably the episodes already produced from season 6, will be broadcast via other channels (Web, blu-ray? ...).
The series Star Wars Detours, presented during Celebration VI in 2012 is deliberately postponed to a later date since the announcement of the production of Episode VII.

The good news comes from the announcement of a new series that would take place in an era never before exploited in the narration of the Star Wars saga in cinema or on television.

The Yoda Chronicles remains confirmed on Cartoon Network. All three parts of this mini-series will be released soon.

Below is Dave Filoni's intervention about the shutdown of The Clone Wars.
