Jabba's Palace July Calendar by Pedro Vezini

A little humor does not hurt in the very (too sometimes) serious world of LEGO, I can not resist the urge to offer you here these two savage but intelligent diversions committed by Pedro Vezini.

I was gone to wink on facebook, then I thought these two images were well worth a few lines here. The calendar in Jabba's palace is a great idea and it will dress the dresser in the living room perfectly, anyway you can't really play with it ...

As for R2-D2 who finds here an activity suited to our needs as poor humans who are not lucky enough to have inherited the Force, I find it hilarious, but functional. The mod is perfect, and the galactic tin can earn its place in the living room mini-bar.

Be careful, as they say, it is to be consumed without moderation (for modifications) and in moderation (for rum) ...

Take a walk on Pedro Vezini's flickr gallery, there are beautiful things to discover.

thelordoftherings.us.lego.com - Elrond

The mini buzz of the day comes from mini-site dedicated to the LEGO Lord of the Rings range on which we find a slightly buggy mini-game and it took an EB forumer to unearth this screenshot above for the desires of each other to become almost certain-soon-surely -It's almost done ...

All we see is Elrond, a character for whom no minifigure has been produced or announced and that some are already seeing in the second wave (if there is one) of the Lord of the Rings range. However, this launch range should theoretically give way to the universe of The Hobbit at the time of the release of the first part of the cinematographic saga directed by Peter Jackson scheduled for December 2012.

Elrond will be present in the saga if Peter Jackson does not take too many shortcuts, he is notably seen during the Battle of the Five Armies (Battle of Five Armies).

Anyway, if you have patience, go try this game called The Siege of Helm's Deep which only works halfway and whose interest is really limited.

Also note the posting of the second part of the saga seen by LEGO: Lego The Lord of the Rings - Chapter 2: Through The Mines of Moria.

LEGO Club Magazine (USA) - LEGO Star Wars Building Challenge

You know what I think of Jabba's palace in the set 9516 Jabba's Palace : The palace looks more like a maid's room in the 12th arrondissement than the den of the foul villain whose figurine is otherwise exceptional.

LEGO may have come to the same conclusion and is running a contest where participants can win gift cards worth $ 100. You just have to build an extension to this palace, take a picture of it and mail it back to the address given. Don't get carried away, the contest seems open only to Americans.

Evil tongues will join me in thinking that LEGO has held back the complaints of some fans about the stingy side of this palace, and wants to know what fans are dreaming of to expand it a bit via a complementary set, or two ... The others will see it only as a lambda competition intended for the youngest. Everyone has his point of view.

Hopefully an inspired fan will suggest a pit at Rancor, just to send a subliminal request to LEGO on the expectations of some of us ...

The scan of the LEGO magazine page was provided by AC pin, that he be thanked.
