The Avengers comic by Mike Napolitan

I have you already talked about Mike Napolitan and its site The Legion of Minifigs on this blog: his work on the world of superheroes is well worth a look. This professional web designer regularly produces splendid 3D visuals of minifigs of super heroes or from the Star Wars universe. He also reproduces original comic book covers like the 1964 one above and is currently embarking on 3D animation with Maya to bring his designs to life.

You can also see below one of his essays featuring Magneto surrounded by levitating pieces.

So put its site in your favorites, beautiful creations should see the light of day soon ...

30059 MTT

Your first reaction when seeing this mini set was probably the same as mine: a colorful MTT The Clone Wars and also disproportionate, it's a bit of rubbish ...

And I must say that this reaction is normal. For all of us the MTT (Multi-Troop Transport) is the one seen in theEpisode I: The Phantom Menace, with its brown armor and elongated shape. LEGO has also released several versions with the set 7184 Trade Federation MTT in 2000, the mini set 4491 MTT in 2003 and the famous set 7662 Trade Federation MTT from 2007, which remains one of my favorite Star Wars sets especially for its color Reddish brown...

But that's without counting on the MTT seen in the animated series The Clone Wars and in particular episode 21 of season 1 entitled Liberty of Ryloth and during which Mace Windu makes strategic use of one of these devices. I have put a screenshot below of the video of this episode, on which we can clearly see this MTT in Clone Wars version. The craft appears throughout the second part of the episode.

The colors are those of set 30059 and the compact form is respected. Hoping that LEGO will transform the trial by releasing us a The Clone Wars themed MTT in the range System to support our AATs (Armored Assault Tank) from set 8018 released in 2009.

6864 Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase

It's Samuel, a young and loyal reader of this blog, who points out to me this once again disturbing and disappointing detail: The box and all the official visuals of the set 6864 Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase presented Two-Face and his two henchmen with a colored hand Light Flesh and the other Dark Bluish Gray.

Everyone who has received the set so far has obtained minifigs with two hands in Light Flesh.

This type of error, no matter how small, should not happen. The consequences are minimal for consumers, but again this error will fuel a hypothetical speculation on the exit of the set with the hands in. Flesh et Dark Bluish Gray as presented on the box.

Lego lord of the rings

As we already know, licensed sets are generally very expensive.
And the LOTR license will be no exception to the rule if we are to believe the prices announced by the Australian online merchant. Mr TOYS...

Here is the list of sets in the LOTR range scheduled for June 2012 with their price in Australian dollars and the conversion into euros.

Obviously this is only an idea of the price range of each set, LEGO's price policy varies depending on the country, VAT, etc ...

9469 Gandalf ™ arrives - 24.99 AUD / 20.00 €
9470 Shelob ™ Attacks - $39.99 / €32.00

Special mention for the set 9474 which with 9 minifigs, a horse and some walls will probably exceed 150 € with us ...

The Amazing Spider-Man: MegaBlocks 2012 range

As I wrote below, LEGO does not have the license on the next movie in the Spider-Man franchise: The Amazing Spider-Man scheduled for July 2012 and will release a set based solely on the classic characters of the spider-man universe.

And it is MegaBrands which will market sets based on the film, which in the process reveal part of the scenario of the film, or in any case reproduce scenes from the latter:
91330 FX Spider-Room Stunts (Scene where Peter Parker gets stung, seen in trailer)
91348 Sewer Lab HQ (Dr. Curt Connors / The Lizard base in the sewers)
91346 Lizard Man Showdown (Battle between Spider-Man and The Lizard on a Manhattan Bridge)
91351 Oscorp Tower FX Battle (Battle between Spider-Man and The Lizard, end of movie)

Rest assured, Brick Heroes did not become a dedicated MegaBlocks site, but I wanted to point out once again here that LEGO will NOT be releasing a set based on the movie. The Amazing Spider-Man  in 2012 and show you what the competition will offer. The trade war will rage in 2012, and LEGO will not be alone in the superhero niche.

End of the MegaBlocks parenthesis.
