Here are finally the official images of the set 10237 The Tower of Orthanc, which had been revealed already a few weeks ago, but which still raised some doubts within the community as to its very existence.

So it's confirmed. With 2359 pieces, features in spades, an advertised price of 199.99 € (For Germany), 6 floors, 73 cm high, a 23 cm high Ent, 5 minifigs (Saruman, Grima Wormtongue, Gandalf the Gray , Uruk-hai, The Orc Pitmaster) and an eagle.

Availability planned for July 2013.

Star Wars Generations: FreeLUG moves to Cusset

Star Wars 2013 Generations

This is THE Star Wars event not to be missed if you are an unconditional fan of the saga: Star Wars 2013 Generations takes place this weekend (April 27 & 28) in Cusset and celebrates its 15th edition with guest of honor David Prowse, also known under the pseudonym of Darth Vader, accompanied by Alan Harris and Chris Parsons, alias Bossk and 4 -LOM, the Bounty Hunters on duty.

On the program, Star Wars, Star Wars and more Star Wars, also with LEGO. all useful information is available on the website of the organizing association.

FreeLUG, which in passing is celebrating its 10 years of existence (Read the interview published on Brickpirate), takes over the place with animations including a Giant Yoda to assemble with all the LEGO fans present, a giant diorama of Endor which we do not know much about but which promises to be memorable and a nostalgic retrospective of LEGO Star Wars sets released in the years 2000-2001.

Best of all, entry is free for everyone.

Ar Sparfel - Jabba's Palace Diorama

You will say that I am a little quibble around the edges, but it is by looking at the photos of the album by Ar Sparfel relating to the demonstration that took place recently in Sizun that I came across something rather ... amazing.

Take a good look at the photo of the MOC / diorama of Jabba's Palace above, click on it to be able to display a (very) large format version on Ar Sparfel's flickr gallery, and tell me what you see on the top right with a blue t-shirt ... What's this guy doing here? Who is he ? What are its connections? Who does he work for? a thorough investigation is needed ...

LEGO has just communicated all the details of the promotional operation of May 3 and 4, 2013.

As shown in the visual above, Han Solo's minifig in Hoth outfit will be offered for any order of products from the LEGO Star Wars range reaching a minimum of € 55, delivery will be free from € 30 and a Star poster Exclusive Wars will be offered on any order of LEGO Star Wars products with no minimum required.

No information for the moment on any reductions offered on certain sets in the LEGO Star Wars range.

As far as I'm concerned, this will be an opportunity to fall for the set 10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter which will be available from May 3, 2013 at a price of 209.99 € ...
