17/02/2013 - 00:22 LEGO LOTR & The Hobbit Lego news

We stay in the theme of eagles LEGO version with this MOC from Legopard.
If you've seen The Hobbit in theaters, you'll immediately recognize the epic scene we're talking about here. The MOCeur also succeeds rather well in getting us back into the mood of the film with the right editing.

His eagle is very successful, although I think the photos above show him in his best light. The bird was obviously designed with the idea of this scene seen from that angle.

On MOCpages, Legopard presents other views of this MOC and some close-ups. When the site is no longer in curtain, you will understand what I mean about the eagle.

To see more it's either on the flickr gallery of Legopard, either on its MOCpages space

It is thanks to a video from the site spieletest.at that we discover the two sets based on the film Man of Steel about which we had so far little information. This video dates from the Toy Fair in Nuremberg at the start of the year.

What to say about the two sets in question: 76003 Superman Battle of Smallville and 76009 Superman Black Zero Escape ? Not much, as usual we will invest in these boxes for the minifigs as the rest of the content smells of filling ... but we will still have to wait for the release of the film to know if LEGO correctly represented the machines delivered in these sets.

Below, you will find the video in question with in particular some close-ups on the minifigs of the 2013 sets Iron Man and Man of Steel.

Although no official announcement has yet taken place, several credible sources seem to be in favor of Harrison Ford's return in the upcoming Episode vii, then we will say that it is acquired.

This is good news for the continuity of the saga. If Harrison Ford returns to service as Han Solo, we can assume that Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will also be in the cast.

But the real good news in this story is that the Millennium Falcon will also likely be in the game, and that LEGO will undoubtedly bring us a collector's version of this ship to meet the demand of fans thirsty for bricks. as soon as theEpisode vii in 2015 or 2016.

That leaves two or three years for owners of the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon set to decide what to do: Sell their box to get € 1500 and tell themselves that they got a good deal by buying this set for € 549 when of its marketing or to convince oneself that the 10179 will remain a unique set that must be part of any self-respecting LEGO Star Wars collection, regardless of the quality of the inevitable remake to which we are going to be entitled.

Range Ultimate Collector Series has lived, the mention is no longer even present on the boxes of the sets concerned.
LEGO has obviously decided to bring out some ships on the same scale as those of the defunct UCS range, starting with the X-Wing with the 10240 set announced yesterday.

A new Millennium Falcon collector's edition is inevitable, and that's good news.

Shawn Snyder is the man who offered us an Action Figure version of Iron man a few months ago (see this article).

He puts the cover back this time with Venom and Spider-Man in the middle of a confrontation.
It's always so successful, the poses are realistic, the characters are detailed and the end result would almost make us forget that this achievement is based on LEGO parts.

To see more it's on Shawn Snyder's flickr gallery that it happens.

seen on the LEGO Community Team blog, this impressive display which brings together all the LEGO Star Wars minifigs released to date exhibited by Bo Jensen during LEGO World 2013. This presentation seems to me to be very practical to present many minifigs to visitors in an attractive and accessible way.

I haven't looked for other views elsewhere on flickr, but if you find any, feel free to post the links in the comments.

In addition, you can see more photos of the MOCs presented during LEGO World 2013 on the flickr gallery by Kim "Santatrooper" Thomsen.
