LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - 2013 (Montage of visuals not representing the range concerned)

A reliable source, very reliable even, confirms to me that LEGO will indeed offer TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) licensed products with an official launch date announced for January 2013.

No details on the content of this range for the moment, but we can think that LEGO will be based on the animated series whose launch takes place on September 29 on the American channel Nickelodeon (see the press release).
We can therefore take for granted the appearance of the TMNT license at LEGO for next year. Hopefully, the New York Comic Con, which will be held from October 11th to 14th, 2012, will bring us more information about this new range ...

Small clarification: The image above does not represent the range in question, it is a DIY assembly by yours truly ... I say that in case you find this image elsewhere and it is sold to you as a visual official...

Class II Imperial Star Destroyer by ISDIronClaw

It's Sunday, and you have some time in front of you? So stay there, because here is a MOC that should appeal to most of you.

ISDIronClaw presents its Class II Imperial Star Destroyer "Avenger". And it has put together everything you could hope for from a LEGO creation: Finish and playability.

Because this ISD has the look of a UCS, the size of a UCS (148 cm long, 94 cm wide and 58 cm high), the finish of a UCS with greebs which ensure an exceptional level of detail to the whole, and completely believable proportions.

But the icing on the cake (or rather the stripper in the cake) is that this ISD also has an interior that allows more than 70 minifigs to evolve without stepping on each other and that I let you discover on the gallery MOCeur flickr via the many photos. Everything is there: Tie Fighters launch bays, command center, etc ...

So take a few minutes to discover this Star Destroyer which was also exhibited at Celebration VI recently.

ISDiRonClaw flickr gallery presents you with pictures of the machine (in his living room) and you can also consult the album dedicated to the presentation of this MOC during Celebration VI.

Gilcelio - Bane

Gilcélio, well-known MOCeur and specialist in vehicles of all kinds, offers a futuristic version of a vehicle clearly inspired by the version proposed in 2012 by Hoth Wheels in its range of DC Universe vehicles (I have inscribed the model in the image ) and that Bane could be driving the streets of Gotham City.

It's well done, the colors are perfectly matched to the Bane minifigure in the set 6860 The Batcave. To discover the rest of Gilcélio's work, go to on his flickr gallery.

02/09/2012 - 01:01 LEGO LOTR & The Hobbit Lego news

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

I spoke to you at the end of July the addition of a third installment to The Hobbit saga, the first opus of which will be released in December 2012.

It's now official, the second part will be titled "The Desolation of Smaug".

The release schedule will therefore be as follows:

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: December 14, 2012
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug: December 13, 2013
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies: July 18, 2014

Obviously, at this stage, it's difficult to predict the choices of LEGO in terms of sets and timing of marketing. But if the first wave expected for this winter shows real commercial success, we should be entitled to sets full of dwarves at least until 2014 ...

02/09/2012 - 00:40 Rumors

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

TMNT for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, obviously.

The current rumor concerns the possibility of a TMNT theme at LEGO. It all starts with a guy (you know the guy who knows a guy who knows ...) on LUGSing (LEGO User Group Singapore) who got the info from a LEGO store employee about the upcoming release (?) of TMNT keyring.

Several sites are already extrapolating the future release of a range based on the adventures of pizza-eating turtles.

To be credited with this rumor, the fact that a film produced by Michael Bay is scheduled for May 2014 (and not at the end of 2013 as we have read here and there, and this because of budget and scenario problems a bit weak to rewrite), and that the American children's channel Nickelodeon is launching a new animated series on September 29 (see the press release). Note that LEGO has already worked with Nickelodeon in the past on the SpongeBob SquarePants theme (square ...).

But all this is only a rumor relayed by several blogs (Brickultra, Smashing Bricks, Groove Bricks, etc ...) without any real basis and impossible to verify. To be continued, therefore, without getting carried away ...
