And it's very refreshing ... The presentation of this MOC is worth by itself that we linger. Praiter Yed presented his entry to the competition Eurobricks Astromech Workplace Contest whose voting sequence is also open like a page in the book LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia.

It's very creative, it's neatly done with beautiful photos coated in their descriptions and just for the originality of the thing, this MOCeur deserves in my eyes to win.

Take a look at the other pages presented by Praiter Yed on her flickr gallery, they are from the same barrel and it is a visual treat. If you master English, focus on the texts, you will see that Praiter Yed knows how to show a lot of humor ...

In recent times, Star Wars MOCs are becoming a little scarce, no doubt the fault of the arrival in force of the DC and Marvel Super Heroes as well as the Lord of the Rings range at LEGO.

We still find from time to time a few diehard MOCeurs to offer us nice creations, even if we have the impression of going around in circles with the remakes of remakes of the same ships or the same machines. Let us add to this that the Star Wars range seems to attract more collectors and speculators than the average and that the few usual MOCeurs have slowed down and we have no doubt the beginnings of an explanation ...

To compensate, I offer you this Millennium Falcon, creation of Captainfinity recently exhibited during the Brickfair 2012 event. As usual, we can always discuss the proportions or the size of the mandibles (subjects which often give rise to many debates which sometimes turn a little to the ridiculous ...) but above all I underline here the audacious intention to reproduce on a large scale an emblematic vessel of the saga that we have however already seen and reviewed in all sauces and in all sizes ...

One of the attractions of Brickfair 2012, an event that just took place at the beginning of August in the USA, was undoubtedly this reconstruction of Rivendell (FondCombe by us), a valley that is difficult to access where the elves live (have Elrond) and that we see notably in the Peter Jackson trilogy.

At the origin of this creation, Blake Baer, ​​better known under the nickname of Blake's Baericks, a young 16-year-old MOCeur full of talent and who seems to have a bright future at LEGO if I believe my little finger. I have already presented several of his creations to you on this blog.

In order to celebrate its 80th birthday with dignity by sharing this event with all its client-fans (note the touch of irony in this sentence), LEGO offers us a small animated film that will at least have the merit of avoiding all those who do not yet know the history of the brick to avoid spending hours on Wikipedia to return to the sources of the mark at the studs.

17 minutes for 80 years, with a few shortcuts and a few omissions, but the essentials are there. 

Finally, the only one who gave us a gift on this 80th anniversary of the birth of the LEGO company is again _Tile who removes a huge thorn in our side by offering us the list of parts with their references to reproduce his now essential Tumbler.

Cherry on the cake, it also provides the list of parts to reproduce the Tumbler in camouflage version.

After spending too many hours trying to compile the same list according to the original instructions, I am relieved to have access to this inventory created directly by MOCeur and I am extremely grateful to them.

So to summarize, you download the file in question in pdf format (Tiler Tumbler instructions) which still weighs 18 MB and in which I have just integrated the two lists of parts, you eventually take out of your bulk those you have, you order the rest on Bricklink and you assemble everything with the satisfaction of having the best Tumbler ever produced.
