Artifex continues the reviews at a steady pace and offers us this morning a video featuring the set 9525 Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Fighter.

Almost everything has been said about this set, and I'm almost ashamed of it but over time, I almost start to like it a little more with each review.

Not that the ship is transcendent, but it is functional, playable and will please young fans of the animated series The Clone Wars. On the minifig side, it's all good with a very convincing Pre Vizsla. As the Americans say with the expression "It grows in me ..."this set will eventually convince me that it is almost worth its price ... (currently available on amazon.de at a price of 39.99 €)

And it's amazon.de who releases information with the Special Edition version of the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game currently available for pre-order (release date: October 2012). We discover that Elrond's minifig will be delivered as a bonus in the collector's edition of the game, and it is indeed the same minifig as the one seen in the mini-game available on the official website of the range (see this article).

The minifig is successful, no doubt about it. It remains to be seen if this will also be available in a future set or if it will be necessary to go through Bricklink or eBay to get it separately.

This is not an info that will prevent you from sleeping, but since it is calm on the Star Wars front, we put our teeth into a bit of everything we find ...

The promotion is currently starting in Hong Kong (from August 1 to September 30, 2012) and should reach our regions shortly. Hopefully it arrives in France one day, many enthusiasts of the brand with the prancing horse will not fail to rush on these mini-sets which seem rather successful.

Interesting exercise from ZetoVince which offers in the form of an animated GIF the assembly instructions of his version of the Tiny Tumbler inspired by that of _Tiler that he presented to us a few days ago.

Click on the image above, and the animation will start with 46 steps taken from views obtained in LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) which should allow you to reproduce the machine without too many problems. The concept is interesting, but it has its limits: As this is a reduced size MOC, the 46 steps can be merged into an animated GIF without weighing down the final image too much.  

But a larger MOC could not benefit from this processing without seeing the final image reach a size that would no longer allow it to be displayed online without too long a loading time. It would then be necessary to turn to a classic video animation to keep an exploitable result.
