Some of you already know this magazine published by the Spanish AFOLs ofHispaBrick. If the paper version is sold at a prohibitive price (on sale at this address but at more than 17 € ...), however, most issues can be downloaded free of charge. at this address in pdf format for offline consultation.
Lots of interesting content for this n ° 14 with in particular on page 95 an interview with Andrew Becraft, founder of The Brothers Brick, who looks back on the origins of the blog, its evolution, its functioning, its past conflicts with LEGO, its mode of financing via advertising, etc ...
Over the hundred pages of this issue, you will also discover many thematic articles: MOCs (Battlestar Galactica), technical tutorials (creation of mosaic), reviews of sets (10225 UCS R2-D2), reports of exhibitions or conventions, etc ... Everything is in the spirit of what we know with the reference magazine BrickJournal and can be read endlessly. The photos don't cannibalize the content and the text is well written.
If you read English and want to dig deeper into certain topics, this magazine is a great addition to your daily LEGO-style internet surfing.
The series is a hit in the USA and arrives in France in September on Disney XD: Ultimate Spider-Man is coming to us and you will have to get used to it, LEGO will be inspired by it for the next sets featuring the spider-man like this. 'is already the case with the set 6873 Spider-Man's Doc Ock Ambush.
It is for the moment thanks to this cartoon that we will finally be entitled to a Nick Fury minifigure, and, dreaming for a few moments, we could one day see a Coulson minifigure, also present in the series. ..
For the rest, Spider-Man, Venom, Nick Fury, Ultimate Beetle, Doctor Doom, White Tiger, Iron Fist, Power Man and Nova are the heroes of this series and LEGO has already presented us with some of these characters converted into minifigs that we will soon be able to offer ourselves at the last Comic Con in San Diego (see this article).
Below, the French trailer and the pitch of the series:
From September 5, the most famous superhero returns to Disney XD.
There will be humor, adventure and lots of action with Ultimate Spider-Man, the new unseen animated series from Marvel Studios.
PETER PARKER has been working for a year to rid New York City of its criminals under the identity of the masked hero SPIDER-MAN, while juggling his work and his friends. When SHIELD Director NICK FURY gives Peter the opportunity to take the next step and become THE ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, Midtown High turns into a secret base of operations where young heroes train under Nick's supervision. Fury and AGENT COULSON, the new principal of the school. Spidey takes on missions for SHIELD in the Marvel Universe, battles new criminals, and faces the greatest threat he has encountered so far: the typical worries of a high school teenager in this new series. fun and action packed!
Haven't got your exclusive Hulk mini minifig in a bag yet? There are some left in stock at LEGO and you can get it again if you order on the Lego shop from August 1 to 10, 2012 for a minimum amount of € 30. Please note, the offer is valid within the limit of available stocks and only on products in stock (items out of stock are not taken into account).
This is a great opportunity to get this minifigure which is nothing exceptional but which will thus be able to join your collection at a lower cost.
What to say in front of this superb MOC of Xenomurphy, which we already know very well through its MOCs on the theme Super Heroes (see these articles on Brick Heroes), except that this gentleman masters his subject ...
The vegetation is simply perfect, the tree is arguably one of the most beautiful I have seen to date, and the slopes of the embankment are breathtaking. The very beautiful photos really showcase the work of Xenomurphy, always so attentive to the smallest detail and who delivers here a clean MOC and very pleasing to the eye. The density of foliage and vegetation on the ground is incredibly controlled.
Obviously, Xenomurphy offers on his flickr gallery many views of this MOC and you can go and spend the next twenty minutes dissecting these images, you won't be disappointed. Here is a complete MOCeur, able to offer urban or plant creations with each time a sense of volumes and astonishing detail.
Do not miss the backlit views of this MOC, they are simply sublime ...

It's confirmed, LEGO takes us a bit for leftovers: Let's move on to changing the name of the set on the French version of the LEGO Shop where we go from Spider-Man's Doc Ock Ambush in original version on the box Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock... They could have gone to the end of the logic and given us a name even more understandable by all of the style Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock... But let's move on.
What is really annoying is that this set is sold for $ 29 at the LEGO Shop US and that we are entitled at the surreal price of 39.99 €. You will tell me that this is not the first time that LEGO has shared with us its very particular conception of exchange rates and the consistency of its pricing policy, and you will be right.
But 40 € for this set is clearly much too expensive for three minifigs, only two of which are really popular in our regions, accompanied by a very simplistic lab.
In short, we will wait to find cheaper elsewhere in a few weeks ...
