Talented artist, Mike Napolitan constantly amazes me with his quality work. He's releasing two new comic book covers converted to minifigure sauce, and once again it's very successful.
I have put you next to each of his creations the comic cover he was inspired by. The result is really convincing.
If you follow Brick Heroes, you have already seen some of his works in these columns. If you don't know his work, you can find the different tickets that I had posted about it and then go to his blog The Legion of Minifigs.
Apart from the most assiduous fans of the Star Wars saga, who remembers Lobot, the administrator of Cloud City (Bespin) in the service of Lando Calrissian with a device grafted on his brain that allows him to communicate with the Cloud City mainframe? Probably not many people ...
Collectors who own the set (unloved, and yet underestimated) 7199 Twin-Pod Cloud Car released in 2002 also know the minifigure that was delivered with with a print on the back of the face representing the character's electronic equipment. For 10 years, more news of this character that it would be difficult to fit into a set other than a remake of the 10123 Cloud City released in 2003.
However, LEGO brings us back Lobot with a version largely updated and which obviously pleases the fans. It is found in the set of the second wave of the Planet Series range accompanied by the Cloud Car and the planet Bespin: 9678 Twin-Pod Cloud Car ™ & Bespin ™ (available at the unbeatable price of 8.56 € at amazon.es). Because we have to admit that the star of this set is Lobot himself and not the machine, a little too orange, or the planet, a little too basically silkscreened.
The question we can ask ourselves now is: Are we going to have the right to a remake of Cloud City, and this minifig foreshadows the arrival of such a set?
It would be strange for a minifigure to be exclusive to a range of minisets, however nice they were. Lobot is not a well-known character in the saga, let alone the younger ones. The presence of this minifigure in this set could put us on the trail of an upcoming large-scale playset that would refresh the 2003 one.
You can read the review of this set 9678 Twin-Pod Cloud Car ™ & Bespin ™ by Huw Millington on brick set.

Some seem to take advantage of the long hours of maintenance of the game's servers Star Wars The Old Republic to produce pretty things inspired by this universe.
Nathaniel Rehm-Daly alias nate_daly offers this BT-7 Thunderclap, whose upper wing is deployed and which is used by the special forces of the Republic.
I must say that I am always very excited by the new MOCs, and I hope that this achievement is only the beginning of a wave of MOCs reproducing the machines from the game. SWTOR. Many vessels like the D5-Mantis, Defender, X-70B Phantom or Corellian XS Stock Light Freighter deserve talented MOCeurs to consider their conversion to LEGO sauce.
LEGO is sure to release a few of these ships in its next wave, and I don't mind the gale of galactic freshness. If the remakes of old sets allow collectors of the last hour or the youngest to complete their collection at a lower cost (although ...), for my part, I prefer to see new arrivals arrive which, if they are probably less charismatic that the machines resulting from the canonical universe, brighten a little our space armadas.
To see more about this MOC and discover all its functions, go to nate_daly's flickr gallery.
A quick peek at one of the other upcoming games from Traveller's Tales, the official developer of LEGO games with LEGO City: Undercover (Eg LEGO City: Stories, renamed we do not really know why, perhaps not to remind GTA too much ...).
Basically and in summary, you are Chase McCain, an undercover cop, who must hunt down and stop the very bad criminal Rex Fury using multiple high-tech gadgets, all on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U with a new gamepad. which should be brought into play in a smart way.
The promise is enticing: An open environment in which you can go wherever you want when you want, with many side missions, the ability to take on different roles and disguise at will, to pilot different land and air vehicles , and maybe even to play two in cooperative mode.
The release date is currently vaguely announced for 2012, and fans of the City line, GTA, LEGO video games, etc, etc ... should find their account, if the game is not a Ultra-buggy interstellar failure ... but I think TT Games can be trusted on this point.
All we have are some screenshots, which I put on Hoth Bricks facebook page and the trailer below.
The official game page also allows you to discover some posters of the characters of the game.
